On Thursday, Trump trampled former FBI Director James Comey in light of the Justice Department’s Inspector General discovering he broke dozens of rules while in service.
James defended himself on social media, with a somewhat indignant tweet:
“DOJ IG ‘found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the memos to members of the media.’ I don’t need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a ‘sorry we lied about you’ would be nice.”

Furthermore:
And to all those who’ve spent two years talking about me “going to jail” or being a “liar and a leaker”—ask yourselves why you still trust people who gave you bad info for so long, including the president.

Some thought his defense was, well, just see this:

Perhaps unexpectedly due to his enemy status related to Donald J. Trump, even the left-wing press has shucked James like corn:

This says a lot:
You know it's BAD when even CNN says the DOJ's IG report is "very damning" for former FBI Director James Comey.

Comey did certainly fit himself into a pickle.
As relayed by Fox News:
The report found that Comey violated bureau policies by drafting, leaking and retaining the memos.
Violated, indeed: to the tune of 26 different rules.
Far be it from America’s Twitter-slinging Executive to sit this one out:
“Perhaps never in the history of our Country has someone been more thoroughly disgraced and excoriated than James Comey in the just released Inspector General’s Report. He should be ashamed of himself!”

Trump wins again, ladies and gentlemen. They keep trying to take him down, but only those around him — or opposed to him — seem to ever fall.
He’s the Teflon Don. ald.
