If you’re wondering where the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates stand on late-term abortion, Politico and Vox have done you a solid and compiled quite the collection of policy positions. I’m servin’ it up to ya, with a little help from The Daily Wire.

Some candidates haven’t specified their thoughts on the issue, but many have.

So as for crushing a baby’s head and ripping off his or her limbs near the time of birth, here’s where we are.

Michael Bennet:

Michael believes abortion should be “in the hands of women and their families.”

Joe Biden:

He thinks abortion is between a woman and her (male?) doctor. And he’s against fetal heartbeat bills.

Bill de Blasio:

In January, Bill applauded New York’s murder law, which allows for the killing of a baby seconds before it’s born.

Cory Booker:

He expressed his support for Roe v. Wade at a town hall, and he voted No on a bill to provide medical care to infants born alive in a failed abortion attempt. So he wants those living, breathing babies to die.

Steve Bullock:

Steve doesn’t want any limits on abortion.

Pete Buttigieg:

He’s mum on any abortion restrictions. When the idea of a baby being murdered seconds before it’s born was brought up, he seemed okay with it. “I trust women”:

Julian Castro:

Julian wants to “protect a woman’s right to make her own decisions…”  And he sees abortion as an issue of economics.

John Delaney:

He’s stated explicit support for late-term abortion, at least with regard to “healthcare” for the mother:

“I support abortions later in the pregnancies, which I think is the right term when it is an issue of the woman’s health, when the mother has a significant healthcare issue.”

Tulsi Gabbard:

Unclear.

Kirsten Gillibrand:

Like Cory Booker, Kirsten voted for babies to die of neglect when they’re born in a failed abortion.

Last week, she told Georgians it’s anti-Christian to be anti-abortion (here).

And there’s this:

Kamala Harris:

Like Cory and Kirsten, as per her congressional vote, she wants living, breathing infants to be neglected to death (or more directly killed, like here) in the event of a failed abortion.

And:

John Hickenlooper:

“I think that the Supreme Court has already drawn that line and that in this country, women are allowed that final decision of those issues that most directly affect their health care.”

Jay Inslee:

As for late-term abortion, his position is unclear.

But he did say this:

Amy Klobuchar:

Like Cory, Kirsten, and Kamala, Amy voted for living, breathing babies to die when born during a failed abortion.

Plus this:

“I believe in Roe v. Wade, and those rights that we have there, those are the rights of our country. Of course, there are limits there in the third trimester that are very important about, except for the health of the woman, there are some limits there. I think overall what we want to do is make sure that women have the rights, right, to make their own decision.”

Wayne Messam:

“I trust women to make their own decisions when it comes to their health. Period.”

Seth Moulton:

We know at least this much:

Beto O’Rourke:

The white privileged millionaire (here) who both inherited millions and married into hundreds of millions — who’s stunningly vowed to fight against white privileged millionaires (here) — favors murdering babies seconds before birth:

And here’s what he thinks about saving the lives of babies who are born in failed abortions:

Tim Ryan:

According to Vox, he “went into Congress pro-life…[but] he changed his mind when he met women who were in difficult circumstances and announced his switch to pro-choice in 2015. Ryan has said he supports backing judges that uphold Roe v. Wade.”

Tim wants the government out of the doctor’s office:

Bernie Sanders:

Bernie wants born babies to die in cases of a failed abortion — like Cory, Kirsten, Kamala, Amy Klobuchar, and would-be Beto. In February, he voted accordingly.

Eric Swalwell:

Unclear. But there’s this, about pro-abortion group The Yellowhammer Fund:

Elizabeth Warren:

A reported by CNBC, an aide said she’s “committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and believes that politicians shouldn’t interfere in choices that are between a woman and her doctor.”

Also, like Bernie, Cory, Kamala, Kirsten, Amy, and if-he’d-only-beaten-Ted-Cruz Beto, Pocahontas cast her ballot to kill born babies with neglect (or something more active) in the event of failed abortions.

Marianne Williamson:

“Other than the injunction against sex with children, which is universal and I think we all agree with, except for that one, I do not believe the government should be telling people to do with their bodies, what they must do or what they must not do.”

Andrew Yang:

He doesn’t believe men should get a vote:

A quick aside: Andrew’s also ready to “rain down death” on our enemies abroad (here).

As for raining down death on babies who’ve just been born — or are seconds from it — there’s your valuable info on 2020’s determined Democrats. If you’re pro-life and thinking of running for a blue seat of power, a lot of Dems in leadership don’t want you (here).

For a bit of political and cultural perspective, here’s Democratic President Jimmy Carter (1977-1981) on abortion:

“I think abortion is wrong. I don’t think the Government ought to do anything to encourage abortion, but I don’t favor a constitutional amendment on the subject. But short of a constitutional amendment, and within the confines of a Supreme Court ruling, I will do everything I can to minimize the need for abortions with better sex education, family planning, with better adoptive procedures. I personally don’t believe that the Federal Government ought to finance abortions, but I draw the line and don’t support a constitutional amendment. I honor the right of people to seek a constitutional amendment on abortion, but I won’t actively work for its passage.”

The party sure has changed in recent years. As I said recently, this ain’t Billy Graham’s Democrats.
