You Won't Believe Who Ilhan Omar's Communications Director Blames for Anti-Semitism

From when does anti-Semitism come? If you’re Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s communications director, it emanates squarely from conservatives.

Huh?

On Tuesday, Jeremy Slevin posted the following head-scratcher to Twitter:

“Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-win”

In case you didn’t get that, he was saying anti-Semitism is a right-wing force.

If I may, I’d like to offer a retort:

No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not No it’s not

Omar strategist Jeremy is an odd duck to post accusations of anti-Semitism; Ilhan’s become the gold standard for congressional anti-Israel disposition. As I covered in January, she previously prayed Earth would be released from the beleaguered country’s spell (here):

“Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

Additionally, as pointed out by The Daily Wire, she’s also:

  • Accused her “Jewish colleagues” of “designing” a plan “to end the debate” on Israel by accusing her of being anti-Semitic.
  • Accused a Jewish congresswoman of wanting her to have dual loyalties to Israel.
  • Claimed that she does not understand why Jewish Americans would find her anti-Semitic comments to be offensive.
  • Supported anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns against Israel (Alex’s note: See here).
  • Compared Israel to Iran, which is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, and suggested that Israel should not be allowed to exist as a Jewish state.
  • Promoted the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that pro-Israel groups were paying American politicians to have dual loyalties to Israel.

Social media couldn’t help but note the absurdity of Jeremy’s tweet.

Here are some top hits, beginning with a reply from Michael Koplow, director of Washington’s Israel Policy Forum:

Some took a less academic approach:

Last but not least, I give you Dave Rubin — in my opinion, an open-handed guy (and former Democrat) worth checking out:

Breathtaking, indeed. The Republican Party has a long and consistent track record of being pro-Israel. The party’s current effective leader — who resides in the White House — hasn’t veered from that. Democrats? They’ve taken a severe turn. And, it seems to me, it’s a turn for the worse the worse the worse the worse the worse the worse.
