CIA: Shut up, Donald.

Donald Trump is not having a great week. A great month really. His biggest issues seem to stem around the fact that he has absolutely no understanding of the nomination process and the rules involved. But this rule problem goes well beyond the primaries. He is also fairly unaware of the rules regarding the job he’s applying for.

It’s already been pointed out several times that a lot of what he promises his throngs of true believers is either a laundry list of items he can’t deliver on or a preview of the fact that he intends to be a dictator.

Either way, CIA Director, John Brennan, was having none of it.

Now, it doesn’t take a genius to guess that Trumpkins will sound the bells about Brennan being politically correct and calling for his head on a pike. And I don’t even necessarily disagree. Personally, I don’t have an issue with waterboarding terrorists.

But in the case of Donald Trump, as usual, he’s spouting off rhetorical nonsense he has no hope of accomplishing to rally his troops into thinking he’d be President Jack Bauer.

Sorry, Donny. There are rules, there are separations of power, there are legislatures and courts and the will of the people.

I know all of these things keep getting in the way of what you believe you can pull of singlehandedly in this fantasy presidency you keep dreaming about, but reality is going to continue disappointing you.
