On Friday the news broke that over 19,000 emails from the DNC had been leaked. In them, there was a clear bias toward Hillary Clinton and against Bernie Sanders. Not just bias, but sabotage. One of the architects was DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who lost her speaking slot at the convention as a result.
But it doesn’t end there.
BREAKING: Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz says she will step down at end of party's convention.

She’s OUT. This is big news and major fallout for bad behavior. And it wasn’t just Bernie, DWS was busted colluding with some in the press and other unsavory activities. She also tried to rain destruction on Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski, demanding retraction and apology, and tattling to MSNBC bosses, because of Mika’s opinion (now proved correct) that Schultz was playing favorites.
Schultz issued a tone-deaf statement that Bernie fans won’t like one bit:
I know that electing Hillary Clinton as our next president is critical for America’s future. I look forward to serving as a surrogate for her campaign in Florida and across the country to ensure her victory. Going forward, the best way for me to accomplish those goals is to step down as Party Chair at the end of this convention.
Admits nothing and stumps for Hillary some more. That’s really paying attention.
Donna Brazile, the vice chair, will serve as the acting chairwoman until the election is over.
After the news broke, President Obama released a prepared statement within minutes. Once again, no words of sympathy or even acknowledgement to Bernie Sanders voters or or Senator Sanders own words that demanded her resignation in the first place
Statement by the President on Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Resignation
For the last eight years, Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has had my bak. This afternoon, I called her to let her know that I am grateful. Her leadership of the DNC has meant that we had someone who brought Democrats together not just for my re-election campaign, but for accomplishing the shared goals we have had for our country. Her critical role in supporting our economic recovery, our fights for social and civil justice and providing health care for all Americans will be a hallmark of her tenure as Party Chair. Her fundraising and organizing skills were matched only by her passion, her commitment and her warmth. And no on works harder for her constituents in Congress than Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Michell and I are grateful for her efforts, we know she will continue to serve our country as a member of Congress from Florida and she will always be our dear friend.
Remember, Bernie fans. There are third parties out there just waiting for you. And they’re polling pretty good.
