Our large cities sure do look like crap lately. From riots to crime, from murder sprees to … assaults on the media?
Telemundo 61 reporter Iris Delgado was reporting live from outside the Philadelphia town hall building this week when an unknown female assailant interrupted the broadcast to smack the dickens out of her.
The black woman who commits the assault can be heard saying “excuse me,” but there is no indication of what is about to happen. Then she double smacks Delgado, once in the back of the and one in the face, knocking the surprised reporter back.
“Ay, Dios mio,” exclaims the anchor as he witnesses the violent hit. Surely a reaction shared by the audience. It was a serious blow and no joking matter. It recalls to mind an incident that took place during the Baltimore riots when a RT producer was robbed during a live broadcast.
There is no word on what precipitated the attack and authorities are looking into it, according to Mediaite.
