PANIC At Campaign Clinton!!

The Political Wire notes panic is setting in at camp Clinton.

“The Clinton panic is palpable. Clinton spent Monday in Nevada and sent her husband to fill in at Florida events after her campaign clearly sensed the firewall buckling here. … There is a dearth of reliable public polling in Nevada, but no one on either side has asserted the race is not in reach for Sanders.”

That’s from Ralston, who notes that Nevada is no longer a lock for Hillary. And reading the report, she has great reason to panic as the Sanders campaign stokes the heat. Will her dog of a speech last night in Reno help? Not in my opinion, though it might get her a certain kind of voter.

Also noted by Political Wire is this excerpt from First Read:

“the body language tells us where the race is despite the lack of a single good public poll out there. Hillary Clinton is nervous (see her additional campaigning in Nevada yesterday), while Bernie Sanders seems like the guy who’s feeling confident (see his campaigning in Michigan, not Nevada, yesterday).”

It’s “really, really close,” says Todd. Awesome.

Hillary is getting a much bloodier nose than I and many other people expected her to from Bernie. Let’s hope the primary is a squeaker. And do let’s dispense with the “Republican civil war” rhetoric. The heart of the Democrat party is on the line too. They’re deciding whether they’re socialist, or only mostly socialist. And it is fun (and awful) to watch.
