Proving once again that you can’t slap a collar on someone and set them in a pulpit, then automatically trust that they are going to deliver a theologically sound message, a “pastor” in Texas has stepped forward to mislead and distort Scripture to meet her own purpose.
“For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.” – 2 Timothy 4:3 NLT
This “pastor” is transgender, and in her push against a Texas bathroom bill, SB6, she is pushing the false teaching of God as a “transgender.”
From The Washington Free Beacon:
Rev. S. David Wynn, a senior pastor at Fort Worth’s Agape Metropolitan Community Church, spoke at the Texas State Capitol on Tuesday to activists who were protesting Senate Bill 6, which would force people in Texas to use the bathroom of the gender on their birth certificate, the Huffington Post reports.
In front of a group of those who I can guarantee you give no more thought to God or His Word on any regular basis (except when condemning Christians), Wynn announced her proclamation of fealty to a transgender god.
“In the beginning, God created human kind, in God’s image, God created them male and female, so God is transgender,” he said. “So it’s important you all remember that.”
“We’re all created in the image of what is holy, and divine, and sacred, and we should all be treated that way,” Wynn continued.
The last part is true. We’re all created in God’s image. We were all created to be holy, because God is holy.
The problem is God also created trees, elephants, planets, flowers, and a vast assortment of insects and plant life.
That should give even the most modestly curious sort the idea that God appreciates variety, but nothing to suggest He is transgender.
Also, as a “pastor” you would think this crazed woman would understand the story of life from Genesis 2.
The Amplified version of Genesis 2:18 says it best:
“Now the Lord God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] [i]suitable and complementary for him.”
That is what I have said many times over.
Men and women were meant to complement each other. They serve as a balance to God’s plan for His creation.
Further along, we see that while every bird, beast, and fish was subject to Adam, none were found to be suitable as companions (Genesis 2:20).
God made us different for a reason.
The misguided Texas “pastor” went on to say:
“We’re going to stop using God as an excuse to hate people,” Wynn said in response to comments from a Democratic senator who voted for the measure.
Senate Bill 6 passed the State Senate Affairs Committee on Wednesday 7-1, with all Republicans voting for it and one Democrat. The Democrat who supported the measure, Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. used religion in his defense of his vote.
I still have a big problem understanding how taking care of the 99% of the population who are not stricken with the mental illness of gender dysphoria is the same as “hate.”
For her claim of God as “transgender,” she is absolutely wrong and I’m curious as to how many attend this church of social justice she leads, as she stands in front of her congregation, lying to them by pretending to be a man?
Another verse she seems to miss is John 4:24:
“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (NIV)
As Spirit, God is not confused about His role and suffers no dysphoria.
Shame on this vile woman for distorting not only the Word of God, but the very nature of God under the guise of being a teacher of the Word.
