The Teflon candidate is getting the once over, once again.

Members of the House Judiciary Committee are set to question FBI officials next month about allegations of perjury involving Hillary Clinton’s conflicting statements to Congress last year.

Witnesses at the hearing could include FBI Director James Comey, according to USA Today, which first reported the panel’s plans.

A Judiciary Committee spokeswoman confirmed the hearing to theWashington Examiner and said lawmakers plan to approach the issue at an FBI oversight hearing the panel holds each year.

It will be interesting to see if Comey shows a bit more intestinal fortitude with this hearing than he did with the last.

Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, Chairman of the Oversight Committee, pushed an outline, detailing their case against Clinton, earlier in the week.

Goodlatte and Chaffetz detailed four of the Democratic nominee’s assertions that clashed with evidence Comey revealed to the oversight panel last month, including her insistence that no material marked classified had passed through her network.

Nice bit of fiction, but Comey’s story last month was different. He stated that his agents had discovered at least three clearly marked classified emails that had recovered from the various devices Clinton used, while serving as Secretary of State.

The hearing comes as the Oversight Committee looks into the FBI’s decision to clear Clinton and her staff of all criminal wrongdoing after a year-long probe into their private email use. FBI agents provided Chaffetz’s staff with access to classified documents from their closed investigative file this week.

However, Chaffetz said Wednesday that many of the records were so highly classified that he could not view them with his current security clearance.

How does that happen, exactly?

She was in clear violation, in her handling of classified material, and not only did she get away with it, but the reaction from those charged with investigating and with upholding the law and the safety of our nation responded with a resounding, “Meh…”

Rep. Elijah Cummings, ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee, called the perjury referral “frivolous.”

I maintain that the entirety of Elijah Cummings’ existence in his current office is, at minimum, frivolous, more closely resembling a hindrance, as his only purpose seems to be to act as Clinton’s guard dog.

It will be interesting to see if Hillary Clinton ever will be held accountable, on any level, for what any other politician not named “Clinton” would have seen their career ended over.

I’m not holding my breath.
