It was a movie called The Silent Scream. Maybe Feministing would like to see that one aired in prime-time. Or not….

It is kind of like when it comes time for the reunion and you hope that your friends gained more weight than you did. I know that oversimplifies the argument for some, but no one said that these people were complicated.

Just like the new movie “The Kids are All Right” is about lesbians raising “normal” children, altho’ evidently no one in the movie is normal except that A-list stars play the characters: Annette Benning and Julianne Moore.

These people are so evil its unreal. Thank you for exposing their insane pro-abortion comments once again, it’s certainly a shame that a major network would air such a pro-abortion TV show, we can only hope that the outcry and protests they get will cause them to think twice before doing something so horrible again. Promoting the murder of innocent children isn’t something that good, sane people would ever do, these feminists have gone way off the deep end, and now NBC is out there with them, it’s quite a shame.

That’s because women who give birth to babies have nothing to be ashamed about. We wouldn’t be proud to go around bragging about killing our baby (aka “abortion”).

This isn’t a show I watch, but where were the parents in all this drama? Involved in the daughter’s life, helping her make a decision about her pregnancy and her future or doing something else?

From the RINO side of the house, how about we agree at the very least that there should be zero problems for any Republican supporting laws that require parental involvement in these decisions for any child under 18, and that’s what a 16 year old cheerleader in this show is. I’m also realistic enough to know that Ozzie and Harriet were just TV parents and there’s a lot of really terrible parents out there, so judicial bypasses are part of the deal.

that more women than admit to it are secretly pro-life? In many crowds being pro-choice is, well, expected. Do you think there are women who would never have an abortion or encourage anybody else to, yet pay lip service to the pro death message? Maybe they are a silent majority, whose secret ballot is pro-life?

Or am I just another clueless male? (yeah, yeah…I know I am anyway).

I find it truly horrifying that some people actually think this way, and it makes me sad to think about the 50 million lives that were snuffed out in the name of a “choice”. We consider our children to be a gift from God, especially because we know too many couples who want to have children and can’t. From the first time my wife told me she was pregnant to the last, I never lost my amazement at the delicate choreography that must take place in order for a new life to begin.

I wanted to point out that the statistic that 1/3 of American women have abortions by age 45 very possibly breaks down to 4/5 of black women and 1/6 of white women.

Given:
1. Thirty percent of abortions occur to non-Hispanic black women, 36% to non-Hispanic white women.

2. About one-third of American women will have had an abortion by age 45.

3. Black women make up 12.67 percent of the US female childbearing population. White women make up 75.12 of the US female childbearing population.

Data point three was derived from the 2000 US Census information on females ages 18 to 64:

Then in a random sample of 1000 US women over 45, about 127 will be black, about 751 will be white, and about 333 of them will have had an abortion. Of the 333 who had an abortion, about 100 of them will be black and about 120 of them will be white.*

Black: 100/127 = 0.79
White: 120/751 = 0.16

So 1/3 of all women having had an abortion by age 45 translates into 16 percent of white women and 79 percent of black women.

*I could not find data that would allow me to weigh repeat abortions by race, so this analysis assumes that the percentage of repeat abortion women does not vary across race. For the sake of argument, if the average number of repeat abortions is 0 for white women and 1 for all other races the percentages work out to:

Black: 50/127=0.39
White: 210/751=0.28

This still shows a disparity against black women.
