Both of which are hitting Jack Davis, who is doing his level best to throw the special election there to the Democrats. Davis, for those who do not remember, has been running as a Democrat in this district for years, and is now cynically trying to use the Tea Party name to hurt the GOP this year: he’s also a somewhat insane fellow who wants to turn urban blacks and Latinos into migrant crop workers.
No. Really. Apparently, he thought that this would be a selling point for New York Republicans, God help us all. And God spare us from Democrats who can’t tell the Republicans living inside their heads from the Republicans in the actual, real world: even when they’re trying to pander to us it comes off as very, very creepy.
Anyway: NRCC ad above the fold; American Crossroads one below it. And Jane Corwin is the actual Republican/Conservative candidate in this election; she would certainly love to hear from you.

Point taken, but if put to further thought
dajeeps (Diary) Wednesday, May 11th at 7:28AM EST (link)I see nothing wrong with employers picking up people who are unemployed and giving them a job. There are a few problems with the the logic of the statement, however.
The first is that it ignores the economic issues presented by the minium wage and even ObamaCare. There’s a reason why these people (regardless of race) are unemployed while some employers opt for undocumented workers instead. Bad laws create black markets of all sorts and the employment black market really is no different. And second is a practicality issue. Who would “bus them out there?” If employers had to do it, it would destroy any value proposition to be gained from giving these people a job, aside from any employer mandates and tax issues. Is this guy really suggesting that taxpayers foot the transportation bill?
And of course there is the problem of the way the idea was presented with the assumption that young blacks are the only ones with a problem. Not only should it insult the black youth, but it also insults whites who have lost their jobs, cannot find another and perhaps picking corn might make the difference between keeping the home or living in a box. Putting this next to the truth behind much of the economic distress we are experiencing, it highlights just how out of touch with reality, and how disinterested Jack Davis really is in solving real problems and doing the right thing by the people of NY-26.
