As poll numbers rolled in on Tuesday evening the overwhelming reality that Trump may be the next president began to present itself to the general population. As that reality began to set in apparently a lot of people decided to check up on a different reality – life as a Canadian.
At 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday the Canadian government’s immigration website crashed. Business Insider reports that the top trending story on their website at the time was “How to Move to Canada and Become a Canadian Citizen” and Google searches for “Canadian immigration” surged as well.
Hearing #CanadianImmigration site is down, it’s been trying to load for about 5 minutes now: pic.twitter.com/glPfBxnqmd
