The issue that has ignited the anarchy in Charlotte was the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott. Up until now, we had only seen still images from the scene. However, NBC has gotten hold of the footage from the shooting and released it.

The footage provides a clearer picture of the situation that has set off these riots, but is it enough to quell the rioting? Doubtful. Arguments are still raging on either side about Scott’s possession of a gun, how it was wielded, and if police acted prudently. It is not an argument that will be won over this easily.
