We have all known, for some time, that the Left Coast state of Oregon was a hotbed of woke horse squeeze. It is, after all, home to Portland, an Antifa stronghold and one of the wackiest leftie jurisdictions in the nation. Oregon in general and Portland in particular are home to every loony-tunes, wackadoodle leftist agenda item in existence, including the chemical altering of "transgender" kids.
It's the "kids" part of this that is particularly egregious. Adults can give informed consent. Kids can't. And it's pretty darn certain, as I've written many times, that a "transgender kid" is like a "vegan cat" - you know that this wasn't the cat's, or the kid's, idea.
A new study, conducted in Oregon, reveals the shocking numbers as to just how bad this is: One in 250 Oregon girls, many times the national average, are on testosterone therapy.
Oregon's use of cross-sex hormones (CSH) for youth gender dysphoria among 14–15-year-olds runs about 4–5x the national rate. Puberty blockers are also being used on Oregon kids at a horrifying rate:

These treatments, we should note, are not without consequences. The use of testosterone on girls, and estrogens on boys, is concerning because of the permanent and debilitating changes they can have on these kids. Many of them will be rendered sterile. Many of them will never be able to have a normal sex life, including achieving orgasm. These kids are being permanently changed, not for the better, in service of an agenda.
And for whatever lunatic reason, this is happening in Oregon at several times the national rate. Why?

Dr. Dy said this during a presentation at the 2021 conference of the US offshoot of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, USPATH.

Mr. Benjamin's Substack article on this is worth a look. He writes:
The earliest age at which any youth, natal boy or girl, received puberty blockers was 9. The earliest age at which any natal boy received estrogen was 10. And the earliest age at which any natal girl received testosterone was 12.
This is not only as clear a case of child abuse as one is likely to find, but it's also a serious breach of medical ethics. Primum non nocere (first, do no harm) is still an expected tenet of medical ethics, and these so-called practitioners, in Oregon, are doing harm to kids as young as nine.
Nine. Let that sink in for a moment. Nine. That's about the typical age of a fourth-grader. A fourth-grader has no business thinking about anything having to do with sex, much less undergoing chemical castration in the claim that they suffer from gender dysphoria. And yet, this is happening, in Oregon, at several times the national rate.
And why? Why is this happening? Well, I have one pretty good idea: Remember that vegan cat?
In some circles (Hollywood, just to name one), having a "transgender kid" is a sort of perverse status symbol. It's something you can parade around to establish your work bona fides, and there doesn't seem to be much regard for what it's doing to these kids. These kids, again, will be permanently changed by these treatments. They will, very likely, be unable to have children of their own. They will, very likely, be unable ever to enjoy a normal sex life. This is cruel and unusual. Adults can do as they please; but these kids cannot give truly informed consent, and should not be receiving any of these treatments, and most of all, none of these "gender-affirming" surgeries.
This isn't medicine, and it isn't science. It's harming children in service to an agenda. It's a serious violation of medical ethics. And it's happening right now, in Oregon, at several times the national average rate.
