I think it was the late, great Rush Limbaugh who observed that if you want to anger a conservative, you lie about what they are saying; if you want to anger a liberal, you tell the truth about what they are saying.
Case in point: A Michigan Senate hopeful, one Abdul El-Sayed, is now caught on tape warning staffers not to talk openly about the un-aliving of the late and unlamented goblin, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warning that many Michigan Democrats are "sad" about the vicious old theocrat's death.
Shocking leaked audio showed a lefty Democratic hopeful for Michigan Senate telling campaign staffers he wanted to avoid taking a position on the death of late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei because many voters were distraught over it.
Abdul El-Sayed warned staffers that “there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad” about Khamenei’s death, so he’d pivot straight to the “pedophile president” instead.
Who could be sad about the well-deserved end of a vicious, 7th-century barbarian, who may be responsible for more death and suffering than anyone since Chairman Mao? Well, Michigan is home to Dearborn, which has, by a wide margin, the largest per capita concentration of Muslims in the United States, most of them from the same Shiite branch of Islam as the goblins in Iran.
Also in the tape, Abdul El-Sayed described how he will deflect from the righteous cancellation of the Ayatollah's birth certificate by doing a lateral arabesque into one of the biggest piles of horse squeeze I've seen from a Democrat in some time - and in that, he's up against some pretty stiff competition.
“I’m just gonna go straight to pedophilia, frankly,” El-Sayed told staffers about how he’d navigate questions on Khamenei’s death, per leaked audio from a March 1 campaign strategy session obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
“I’ll just be like, ‘Pedophile president decides that he doesn’t like the front page news, so he decides to take us into another war.'”
Wow. Just... wow.

Democrats, of all people, shouldn't keep running back to the same old "pedophile" well, not when they continually cater to every drag queen/transgender/12-spirit wood elf pixie nutcase that ever showed up at a public library in their underwear to read fairy tales to grade-school kids. There's no evidence President Trump has any predilections along these lines, of course, but evidence rarely matters to Democrats.
Still, since Abdul El-Sayed is running for a statewide office now, this just might be enough to sink his campaign. Michigan's a big state, and Dearbornistan is only a small part of it. A lot of remaining old blue-collar Democrats, if there are any remaining who haven't crossed the Rubicon to become Republicans, won't look kindly on this kind of catering to Islamist nutcases.
Here's the problem: The election is still a long ways off. This revelation is too early to be an October Surprise, and not all that many people are paying close attention to political news yet; a lot of folks have historically not really started paying attention to politics until after Labor Day.
Even so: El-Sayed may have given the GOP a golden campaign ad in all this. Let's hope the Michigan Republican Party makes best use of it.
