Most good people love animals, and Man's Best Friend occupies a special place in many people's hearts. Dogs aren't like most other domestic animals. They are not just pets or working animals. They are companions, they work with us, hunt with us, guard our families, and at times, even take on evil people to protect us. The relationship between Canis lupus familiaris and Homo sapiens has a long and storied history, and I've long told people who piously proclaim that "...you can't buy love" that they have obviously never had a puppy.
So, when 190 House Democrats pass a vote favoring illegal alien criminals over dogs, that reveals a lot.
190 House Democrats voted against a bill today that would make non citizens eligible for deportation if they are convicted of harming police animals, including dogs & horses.

All Republicans voted yes. https://t.co/R9tUWrqmn8
The original post, to which the esteemed Mr. Melugin was replying, states:
228-190: House passed legislation to make foreign nationals inadmissible and noncitizens in the U.S. deportable if they are convicted of, or admit to, harming police animals including dogs and horses. 15 Democrats voted Yes with all Republicans and Rep. Kiley (I-CA), who was recorded as an Independent in the House for the first time since leaving the Republican Party March 9. The BOWOW Act now heads to the Senate.
Well, at least 15 House Democrats appreciate dogs, not to mention other police animals, including horses, another animal that has served humanity with distinction for hundreds of years.

Honestly, who the heck can vote "no" on such a proposal? While we can point out that this shouldn't be necessary, that anyone in the country illegally for any reason should be deported without delay - and I would maintain that this is precisely what should happen - sometimes laws like this are required to get a particular sort of goblins bumped to the head of the line. Be that as it may, we are still left with the baffling conclusion that obviously 190 Democrat members of the United States House of Representatives voted to place the interests of, not only illegal aliens, not only illegal alien criminals, but illegal alien criminals who have harmed a loyal, faithful, highly trained and dedicated police animal, over those animals.
I would point out that it's something of a head-scratcher, but Democrats in general have been putting the interests of illegal aliens over Americans for years. They promote the interests of illegal aliens over American kids, over American students, over poor Americans, over Americans with property along our national borders. And now, they put the interests of illegal aliens over police animals.
This, folks, is today's Democratic Party. It's no wonder their approval ratings, as a party, are somewhere in between pond scum and cockroaches. But they still can muster enough members in the House of Representatives, in the Senate, and in several state legislatures, to make a nuisance of themselves.
And, again, this is an election year. And, again, I'm going to keep reminding all of you of that fact, from now until November. This is yet another reason why this fall's midterms are so critical, another out of many, many such reasons.
Maybe I should start keeping a spreadsheet.
