Kash Patel's FBI: Nowhere to Run for America's Most Wanted

It's been a good few weeks for FBI Director Kash Patel, with record numbers of goblins off the streets and even several knocked off the FBI's Top Ten Most Wanted list. On Sunday, Director Patel appeared on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures with host Maria Bartiromo and presented details.

Here's how that conversation went:

Director Kash Patel: Thanks to President Trump's amazing leadership and protection of law enforcement, and thanks to our great partners at the Department of Justice, this year, the Attorney General and us (the FBI) have arrested... Actually, in 2025, we arrested and captured four top ten of the FBI's most wanted. Four. And to put that in perspective, the Biden administration, they had captured four in four years. These are the worst of the worst, the gang bangers, the murderers, the drug dealers. Flipping to 2026, in just the last week and a half, Maria, we have seized two more. I was just down in Mexico this past week, and we have apprehended two more of the FBI's most wanted fugitives. Including Ryan Wedding, who was a Canadian Olympic snowboarder turned into the modern-day El Chapo. And after a year-long campaign and manhunt to go and get this guy, we went down there to Mexico to advance our investigation, huge thanks to President Trump again, to the Department of Justice, the Mexican government, and our Ambassador Ron Johnson down there.

This type of work takes a full-on interagency assault. It takes relentless pursuit to make sure that these individuals never harm Americans again. And while we were down there, we also apprehended another top ten most wanted fugitive, Alejandro Castillo, who brutally, brutally murdered a 22-year-old first-generation American over a decade ago in North Carolina. Collectively, these six of the top ten have been on the run for 50 years. Half a century. And under President Trump's leadership, they have nowhere to run. That is just amazing interagency law enforcement, and the FBI is leading that charge, and we're happy to bring them home.

That's a pretty good record by any measure.

Many years ago, an old Iowa State Trooper of my acquaintance told me that, in his long career, every criminal he ever encountered exhibited three character traits in varying proportions: Greedy, mean, and stupid. Unfortunately, that doesn't necessarily mean they will be easy to catch. The FBI has done some great work here under President Trump, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel, and they're sure entitled to do a little bragging about it. Bad guys are now locked up who weren't; Americans are safer now than they were a year ago, and it's a big feather in the cap of the Trump administration's law enforcement team. So, sure, a little bragging is in order.

And, as the famous old saying goes, it ain't bragging if you can do it.
