We could always use more heroes. We have, of course, our armed forces - or at least, we have our new, revamped armed forces, which Secretary of War Hegseth is revamping into a cadre of warriors, instead of the military being used as a jobs program for the neurotic. But there are other heroes in our world, and on Friday, some previously unreleased footage showed us a few more of those heroes: Grey Bull Rescue, a group of special operations veterans who specialize in extracting people from trouble spots.
These are the guys who got Maria Machado out of Venezuela, and now we can see some snippets of that operation, which they dubbed Operation Golden Dynamite.
🚨NEVER BEFORE SEEN VIDEO of Maria Machado’s rescue from Venezuela before Maduro was captured.

She was secretly smuggled through guarded checkpoints by a Tampa-based nonprofit group of Special Operations Veterans called @greybullrescue in Operation Golden Dynamite.

The post continues:
If Maduro’s guards spotted her, she could’ve been killed.
She was then brought to Oslo to receive her Nobel Peace Prize in person, which she’s now given to President Trump.
What an INCREDIBLE story of American skill, strength, and purpose.
God bless the Veteran heroes at @greybullrescue and I hope y’all support them (QR code at end of video).
These Veterans absolutely deserve public praise for what they accomplished!!
These kinds of capers, if properly planned and executed, go smoothly. Many, many years ago, I had the privilege of knowing a few guys in this community, and I'm still good friends today with a guy who was, for 30 years, a field officer for the CIA. These guys, in my experience, like it when things go smoothly. I remember one crusty old veteran telling me, "If we've planned it right and executed it right, nobody ever knows we are around until we're gone."
That's how this Operation Golden Dynamite looks to have happened. Smooth.

It's belaboring the obvious to note that Maria Machado will play (we hope) a huge role in reforming and revamping Venezuela. There's a lot of work to be done there; revamping that once-prosperous country's economy (it would be a good idea to ask Argentina's President, Javier Milei, for advice) and getting the still-troublesome cartels and Maduro-loyalist militias under control. And, at present, thug-dictator Nicolás Maduro's former vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, is still in place as Venezuela's "interim president." Rodríguez is a Maduro creature; that state of affairs must not be allowed to continue. The country should be organizing and holding new elections as quickly as possible, and this time, international election monitors should be watching to make sure that the next Venezuelan national elections are on the up and up; it's a safe bet President Trump could stir up some election-watchers.
Meanwhile, the people of Venezuela and the United States should be grateful indeed to the heroes of Grey Bull Rescue for getting Maria Machado out of harm's way. If any of these guys are ever in Alaska, I'd be honored to buy them the beverage of their choice, and that's a fact.
