Eric Swalwell Vows to Target Private Citizens If Dems Win a Majority

When a leftist politician or private citizen tells you what they intend to do, you should believe them. Especially when the leftist in question doesn't really have enough brains to employ any guile convincingly.

Which brings us to Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA). Now, Eric "Honey Trap" Swalwell isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. In fact, if Rep. Swalwell were a knife, you'd be better off trying to cut sheet steel with a spoon. But that doesn't mean he's not a nasty, vindictive piece of work, even if he is full of more Schiff than a Christmas goose.

Case in point: Earlier on CNN, Rep. Swalwell let slip his plans if the Democrats should happen to win a majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections: Subpoena everyone who ever worked for, worked with, supported, or possibly even voted for President Donald Trump.

Now, I listened to this so you don't have to. Here's what Rep. Swalwell said:

Well, first, we're making it clear that we're going into the majority. A year from now. We have every intention to do that, and so, we will bring oversight accountability, we will subpoena the Department of Justice, but also private actors, who have done these drug deals with the administration, college campuses, entertainment companies, law firms, and so accountability is coming, and so, one, it's all coming out, two, I hope that deters people from doing more of these deals, these one-offs with the president.

Wait, what? What deals? Entertainment companies? Are there any "entertainment companies" that aren't lockstep liberal? How is the president making deals with college campuses?

Rep. Swalwell, maybe you should make some notes before going on one of these news programs. You can get some 3x5 cards at your nearest Walmart. They're very handy.

He continues:

One other point with (former FBI Director) Comey, uh, Kate, this happened when Donald Trump was president. And so if you're trying to tell me this is not politically motivated, this statement that they're referring to, where he allegedly lied, Donald Trump was president, so why didn't you indict him then?

Because we didn't know everything then that we know now? Because a lot of information has come to light with Kash Patel releasing troves of information about everything from the Russia collusion hoax to Jill Biden's hat size? (Hint: It's 6 7/8)

We should harbor no illusions, though, that this master intellect means what he tries to express coherently. What's more, there are many Democrats who are more capable than Eric Swalwell (not that this is a very high bar to surmount) who are determined to do precisely the same thing: Wage unrestricted land, sea, and air political warfare against President Trump and anyone who was ever associated with him in any way.

Listen to what they say they are going to do, because they mean it. That's why we need to vote; we need to encourage Republican friends and family to vote. If we have to crawl through a mile of scrap iron and busted glass to vote, do it. Because these people must not be allowed to again gain a majority.
