Looking for a job? Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) is hiring, and they're offering quite a bit to sweeten the pot. This is another part of the One Big Beautiful Bill, this one aimed at what we were promised: Deportations, deportations, and more deportations.
Fox News' Bill Melugin has taken a look at what ICE is offering:
NEW: DHS & ICE announce a massive new ICE recruitment campaign with incoming One Big Beautiful Bill funding & a theme of “Defend the Homeland”.

To attract applicants, ICE is offering:
- $50,000 signing bonus
- Student loan payments/forgiveness
- Law Enforcement Availability… pic.twitter.com/xOoF7O80V5
The post continues:
- Law Enforcement Availability Pay (25%) addition to your salary for Special Agents (HSI)
- Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime for Deportation Officers (ERO)
- Special Law Enforcement Officer Retirement benefits
Statement from Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons:
“Your country is calling on you to serve at ICE and defend the Homeland. In the wake of the Biden administration’s open border policies, the dedicated men and women of ICE now face unprecedented challenges in removing millions of criminal illegal aliens from our country. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, we now have funding to recruit and hire Americans who want to patriotically serve their country and protect American communities. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, ICE is finally empowered to do their jobs again.
Join ICE today and help us defend the Homeland.”
Mr. Melugin has also provided a look at the ICE recruiting site, which depicts a very patriotic Uncle Sam theme:
The ICE recruitment website features Uncle Sam & says the country is calling upon Americans to serve due to the “disastrous” immigration policies of the Biden administration. https://t.co/PxuzG0b5sh pic.twitter.com/v4s158ZeYz

Those are some pretty tempting benefits. A $50,000 signing bonus? Student loan repayment? That's generous enough. If I weren't an old man with a messed-up knee, I'd be tempted to sign up myself. Since I am, I guess I'll have to add that to the lengthy list of "things I would do if I were forty years younger."
This is, of course, a necessary move in fulfilling a key campaign promise President Trump made during the election: Removing illegal aliens from the country. At the present pace, it wouldn't happen during the president's second term, and it simply won't do to plan for a deportation-minded president staying in the White House after 2029. We can hope so, and at the moment, the prospects look good, but the smart move is to get this done now, or at least, in the next three and a half years.
Thus, a need for more enforcement officers. And, thus, the rather nice benefits package.

The only downside might be the likelihood that the recruits literally work themselves out of a job. That would be a good thing, not a bad one, given what the overall goal is.
And the patriotic recruiting message is well met. This is designed for the kind of young people that should be joining in this effort: People who think America is worth defending, who think America is a nation of laws, who understand that America is the greatest nation in the history of humanity, but that we can't just let everyone in unscreened, unchecked, and uncontrolled. All of those things are true, and we welcome legal immigrants who recognize these truths as well, people who come here to become Americans. People who sneak in, in violation of our laws, on the other hand? Repatriation flights. Lots of 'em.
And no, we're still not tired of winning.
Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
