Shocker: The Biden Admin's Devastating Disregard for Thousands of Kids

As if the previous administration's callous disregard for our borders wasn't bad enough, we are now learning just how many unaccompanied children crossed our borders during the Biden administration, and how that administration left thousands of reports of these kids unresolved. Now we have no idea where a lot of these kids are.

RealClearPolitics' National Political Correspondent, Susan Crabtree, put the details on X:

The X post continues:

...revealing thousands of concerning reports were identified in the Biden-Harris administration’s unaccompanied alien children (UC) program, but left unresolved, including cases of potential trafficking and fraud.

The Trump administration is now working to process 65,605 reports concerning migrant children, which were ignored or dismissed during the previous administration. These reports include 56,591 notifications of concern, 7,346 reports of human trafficking, and 1,688 fraud leads. In a little over 100 days, the Trump administration has processed over 28 percent of the Biden-Harris backlog, resulting in 528 investigative leads, 36 investigations accepted for prosecution by U.S. Attorneys, seven indictments, 25 arrest warrants, 11 arrests, and three convictions.

“My oversight exposed the Biden-Harris administration for placing unaccompanied migrant children with dangerous sponsors and actively obstructing law enforcement and Congress’ efforts to rescue vulnerable kids. I applaud the Trump administration for its swift action to protect unaccompanied migrant children by addressing the concerning reports the Biden-Harris administration shelved,” Grassley said. “I look forward to working with Secretary Kennedy to ensure justice is served.”

This is another failure in a litany of failures of the Biden administration. And, as all of us here at RedState have been observing since January 20th, all we needed to fix a lot of this was a new president.

It's Happening Here Too - Biden Admin Lost Track of 320,000 Immigrant Children

So far, as Senator Grassley notes, in a little over four months, the Trump administration has picked up this issue and so far has achieved 528 investigative leads, 36 investigations accepted for prosecution by U.S. Attorneys, seven indictments, 25 arrest warrants, 11 arrests, and three convictions. That's what we might call a "good start."

Consider the fact that, due to the Biden administration's incompetence and inaction, thousands of kids are out there, and we have little or no idea where they are or what is happening to them. They came here without family members or any adults caring for them; we don't know why they crossed the border, we don't know what plans somebody had for them. Most of these kids probably didn't come willingly, and even if they did, they lack the agency and judgment of an adult. Many of them probably didn't understand what crossing that border meant or what was likely to befall them.

This is a huge humanitarian crisis. The Trump administration has started cleaning it up, but we'll have to accept one thing: We probably will never find all of these kids, we probably will never know what happened to a lot of them.

And that's on the Biden administration. The fate of every one of these kids is on their heads.

Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
