We're still not tired of winning. Not yet, not ever. In the latest win, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins took to her official X account to inform us that a wasteful $397,000 grant was canceled. Why? Watch:
🚨@USDA was funding a $397K grant in the San Francisco Bay to educate queer, trans, and BIPOC urban farmers and consumers about food justice and values-aligned markets…🤦🏻♀️

Secretary Rollins stated in full:
Hi, everyone, this is Brooke Rollins, coming to you from the United States Department of Agriculture here in Washington, D.C. for your DOGE update. Until now, until today, USDA was funding a $397,000 grant in the San Francisco Bay Area to educated queer, trans, and BIPOC urban farmers and consumers about food justice and values aligned markets. By stopping this wasteful spending here at USDA, we are ending identity politics, and we are refocusing our agency on its core mission of supporting American farming, ranching, and forestry. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
Now, aside from the fact that this just saved the taxpayers six figures, I have some questions.
First, how many "queer, trans and BIPOC urban farmers" are there? Five? Six? A dozen, tops. I've stayed and worked in the Bay Area. There's just not much open farmland available.
Second: What, for Pete's sake, is "food justice?" What are "values-aligned markets?" The left seems to think they can just take any random word and slap "justice" on the end and suddenly make it a pressing social issue that needs a huge government grant, and right away! And as for "values-aligned" markets, most people just figure if they can get what they want at their local grocer and not have to take out a second mortgage for a week's worth of foodstuffs, that seems like value enough.
Thanks to Brooke Rollins, the DOGE, and President Trump, at least we taxpayers are no longer on the hook for this horse squeeze.

There's a more serious side to stupid government grants like this, and it's that they represent a serious infraction on a founding principle of the republic: Equal treatment under the law. As I'm fond of saying, what the government does for anyone, it must do for everyone, or it must do for no one, and that means no special, carved-out grants for queer people (for whatever the definition of "queer" is today) trans people, or BIPOC people. That is discrimination, based on purely subjective requirements, and it's wrong. It would be wrong to carve out such a grant limited to white farmers, or Asian farmers, or Martian farmers; if there is to be a government grant to promote anything, it should apply to anyone and everyone in the Bay area who is an "urban farmer."
Let's be honest: This grant was graft. Someone, somewhere, stood to profit from this corral litter, and they would have profited at the American taxpayer's expense. Well, they won't be doing that any longer, thanks to our new Secretary of Agriculture and the DOGE. Good work, and keep it up!
DOGE is finding billions of dollars in wasteful spending, and the Democrats are losing their minds as they realize their gravy train and woke projects are coming to an end.
