REVEALED: Biden Justice Department's Persecution of 'Gender-Affirming' Care For Minors Whistleblowers

One of the first things President Donald Trump did upon resuming office was to clamp down on the practice of "gender-affirming care" for minors. These treatments can consist of hormone therapy, surgery, or both. They are often irreversible, frequently debilitating, and almost always result in not only sterilization but - in the case of what transgender activists refer to as "bottom surgery" - can also lead to a lifetime of inability to feel any sexual pleasure.

Adults are free to do as they please, but there's a good reason not to carry out these treatments on children. Not only do they run the risks noted above, but children are not capable of giving truly informed consent, as they lack the experience, perspective, and judgment to do so. That's why they are not legally allowed to do things like buy guns or booze, sign contracts, join the military, or even get tattoos. There is also the matter of medical ethics involved, primarily the principle of primum non nocere - first, do no harm. These treatments and surgeries are carried out on perfectly healthy people, so it's hard to see how this is not "doing harm."

In Texas, a doctor and whistleblower at the Texas Children’s Hospital was persecuted by the Biden administration for going public with the reality of these treatments. Award-winning journalist Catherine Herridge interviewed Dr. Eithan Haim and his wife Andrea and released the full interview Monday on X. It is truly must-see TV. Dr. Haim was, of course, persecuted by the Biden Justice Department for blowing the whistle on this unethical and unnecessary care for minors.

Not only does this case represent an unforgivable instance of lawfare by a presidential administration against a medical practitioner who has gone public with his concerns over what is arguably an unethical practice, but it also shows the depth to which the adherents to gender ideology will go to keep treating kids.

Some key segments follow. The title of the interview is telling as well: "Government Malpractice - vindicated Texas surgeon speaks out after exposing Biden era gender affirming treatments for minors."

First, the introduction:

Dr. Eithan Haim: I was willing to go to jail if this judge was going to throw me in jail. But the whole world would have to see what he was doing.
Catherine Herridge: Was the Biden Justice Department weaponized against you and your family?
EH: 100 percent, the Biden administration had weaponized the Justice Department against us.
CH: This memo is from Health and Human Services, the Office of Civil Rights, and it's their notice and guidance on gender-affirming care.
EH: The message from this memo is that anyone who interferes with the administration of quote-unquote gender-affirming care is going to become a target of the federal government.
Andrea Heim: This memo was a green light from the Biden administration for prosecutors.

This is an unforgivable act; a doctor, for speaking out about ethical concerns of a controversial treatment, was targeted to be de-personed and ruined by the federal government. Here. In the United States.

At 9:35:

CH: Because of your whistleblower activity, were you retaliated against?
EH: Yes, I believe so. And really, in a number of ways.
CH: I'd like to walk through the reviews that were left on your medical profile online. This one says "he touched me inappropriately and was super creepy. He had no idea what he was doing. He has no business being in medicine." "He should be in jail for being a terrible physician." "He mutilates patients." It sounds like you're an abuser.
EH: And the important thing for people to know about those reviews is that they were written when I was anonymous. Before I took my story public. So the person who wrote those reviews had come from inside the hospital.

At 15:25:

Nearly a year after the target letter, federal marshals delivered the first of three criminal indictments for allegedly violating patient privacy laws.

Dr. Haim praised Catherine Herridge for her preparedness in another X post.

This case never should have been brought. Dr. Haim was unforgivably persecuted. The full force of the federal government was brought down upon him for expressing his concern for these harmful and unnecessary treatments for minors. Children, in other words, who cannot give fully informed consent, and who almost certainly don't understand the consequences of what they are about to undergo. Worse, some of their parents are involved; in some circles, having a "transgender kid" is a kind of perverse status symbol, and when you see someone with a "transgender kid," it's much like seeing someone with a vegan cat - you know that the vegan diet wasn't the cat's choice. The Trump administration, fortunately, is working to reverse this.

The case against Dr. Haim, under the incoming Trump administration, has been dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be re-filed. But it's a safe bet we haven't heard the last from Dr. Haim, nor should he stop speaking out. The First Amendment still exists, despite the efforts of the left to undermine it. Medical ethics still exist, despite the efforts of the left to ignore them, and conducting these permanent, irreversible, and sterilizing treatments on children is still wrong.
