Surprise, Surprise: Kamala Harris Supports Continuing 'Migrant' Flights That Have Imported 1.3 Million

On Tuesday, Fox News' Bill Melugin took to X (formerly Twitter) to inform us that he had reached out to the Kamala Harris campaign to find out if Vice President Harris were to win the big chair, would she retain the existing Harris/Biden border policies - which she supposedly oversaw in her role as Border Czarina.

You might note, as Mr. Melugin points out, that the Harris campaign didn't answer the question.

Melugin's X post states in part:

The campaign provided me a statement that did not answer those questions. The campaign said instead that she supports the bipartisan border bill, and would sign it.

That bill would have immediately ended the use of the CBP One cell phone app for paroling migrants into the U.S., but it would have kept the CHNV migrant flights parole program in place.

Both programs combined have allowed over 1.3 million migrants to enter the U.S. lawfully since the Biden admin started them less than two years ago in late 2022 & early 2023.

800,000+ via the CBP One App.
530,000 via CHNV migrant flights.

CHNV stands for "Processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans," a program that provides - for some reason - expedited legal entry into the United States for people from these countries.

DHS has announced processes through which nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, and their immediate family members, may request to come to the United States in a safe and orderly way. Qualified beneficiaries who are outside the United States and lack U.S. entry documents may be considered, on a case-by-case basis, for advanced authorization to travel and a temporary period of parole for up to two years for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit. To participate, eligible beneficiaries must:

  • Have a supporter in the United States;
  • Undergo and clear robust security vetting;
  • Meet other eligibility criteria; and
  • Warrant a favorable exercise of discretion.

The question is, why? One can be certain the residents of Springfield, Ohio, as well as many other places, would appreciate an answer to this question.

A cynical and suspicious observer may well speculate that the reason for this is to import an entire class of new voters who, once naturalized - or perhaps (let's say this very softly)  even sooner - will be reliable voters for the party that welcomed them in and provided the cornucopia of free stuff, that is, the Democrats. Granted these countries are some pretty miserable places and we can't really blame people for wanting to get while the gettin's good.

But since when is it America's responsibility to take in everyone from every third-world cesspit on the planet? Our resources are not without limit, and our patience is not without end. Why must we continue to be the world's safety net?

Let's be real about this: Kamala Harris (who by the way grew up in a middle-class family), should she be elected, will continue to do what she has been doing on the border and immigration in general - nothing. Under a Harris/Walz administration - and yes, the very thought makes one shudder - the borders will remain open, the flights of millions of "migrants" from various third-world countries will continue, and the American taxpayers will continue to be stuck with the tab.
