The problems happening in Afghanistan never had to happen, but it’s only going to get worse if politicians don’t have conversations about it on realistic grounds instead of attempting to find ways to either blame their political opponents or use the moment to demonize Americans who don’t agree with them.
Right now, too much of that is happening, and it’s only going to open the door for more atrocities to occur.
