I have been exceptionally hard on the people and the politics of those involved in Michigan for several years, here in my home state. There are many reasons for this but I don't have enough time or space to go into that now, having been involved in the political system here--on and off--for close to 30 years.

I can assure you: I have seen some stuff, man.

A wise man or woman once said that if you criticize, you should also be able to compliment. 

So, in today's post about what is going on in the Great Lake State politically, I have a follow-up to the good work being done by some people doing the right thing for the right reason.

I started following a group of folks who supported former Michigan GOP chair Kristina Karamo, who was elected at the party convention in February 2023.  

Within a year, many of these very same people banded together to have her removed as chair--and before the next statewide convention, to select a new chair in 2025--because the job she was doing was so inadequate. The state of Michigan, which had gone to Donald Trump in 2016, was positioning itself under Karamo to have a li'l statewide party presence for President or for the GOP nominee for Senate to replace retiring Democrat Debbie Stabenow.

One of the people I came across was a gentleman by the name of Matt Wilk, who is an attorney and has been involved in Michigan politics for several years. He agreed to come onto my radio show on WAAM 1600 A.M. & 92.7 F.M. in Ann Arbor, Michigan; my conversation with him is right HERE.  

He helped give me a breakdown of the backstory of the Michigan GOP, and why some actions are being taken to fix it sooner rather than later.

Through following Matt, I came across a site called Rescue Michigan that follows Michigan politics closely and came across another gentleman who did some fabulous investigative work that I believe laid the groundwork for Karamo to receive the boot.

My first interview with Bigger Truth Media's very own Scott McMahan Interview 1 focuses on the first big test of the Michigan GOP new chair Pete Hoekstra's test of holding a convention after the Karamo debacle had finally ended at the beginning of March of this year.

The second part of my discussion with Scott McMahan Interview 2 dives into his story that revealed the people that the former GOP chair was hanging around with that seemed more like Democrats than Republicans. A truly remarkable thing to me about what Mr. McMahon has done here to me is that he has applied the principles of Citizen Journalism that the late Andrew Breitbart advocated for over a decade ago. As a huge admirer of the movement that Andrew Breitbart started during that time, I'm thrilled that there are people like Scott who are still willing to pick up that torch and run with it.

So, for those in the Republican Party who are claiming Karamo has been the victim of the establishment and globalists trying to take her down to re-install the old guard, how do you feel about that? Pretty clear, is it not?

Even if she was naïve enough to believe whoever she was listening to and not smart enough to ask questions on this, she needs to be removed. After her 14-point drubbing in November of 2022, where she claimed fraud but could not highlight one instance of it, she is not cut out for this job. The party is broke, the Democrats are out-doing you in everything, and some of you are just glaring about being told the obvious.

Her claims of being conservative are shown to be a bit shallow. If she is NOT a Trojan horse Democrat meant to destroy the party from within, she has given the Democrats a great headstart on doing this for eternity.

Just get someone who chants M.A.G.A, has no discernable record of any accomplishments, and claims to be a CHRISTian, and BOOM, here are the keys to the driver's seat. Don't worry, we will fill up the gas tank as you drive off the cliff "Thelma & Louise" style, and blame it on every boogieman ever conceived, instead of the one person who actually did all this.

The person who said great warm fuzzy things about fiscal responsibility in her first couple of weeks in office got this so wrong it makes Democrats cackle with glee. Congratulations on that achievement that will sink this state for at least a decade.

Michigan Republicans, if you can't do better, then you deserve every bit of political pain coming your way.

While I had a suspicion that something was wrong, it was Scott and his independent reporting that dug up what seemed to be a dirty little secret being hidden.  I firmly believe that because of that reporting many people who are members of the Michigan Republican Party who were willing to give Karamo a free pass finally decided that the writing was on the wall and supported her removal as opposed to continuing to diddle and let any chance Republicans had in 2024 slip away.

If I may be so bold, on behalf of all Michiganians  I would like to thank Scott for having the damn cojones do the hard work and exposing the truth.

Hopefully, more of us follow his lead.
