You may think that here on the pages of RedState, we have been focusing a little bit on Congressperson Rashida Tlaib. And if you had that observation, you would be absolutely correct.
Now, we're not focusing on her because she's necessarily the warmest human being that we've ever come across in subject matters to write about. We're also not focusing on her because she is one of the leaders of a group of legislators that is proposing and trying to pass wonderful legislation for her constituents in the country.
Not at all.
We are simply focusing on her because she's a quote machine and if the Republicans were playing their game correctly she would be a verbal landmine for her fellow Democrats. Yet we do know that Republicans have to go Republican — just take a look at the Speakers situation.
When I say we love us some Rashida Tlaib here, I'm not joking. Here are some recent examples to give you a flavor of how much fun she is to cover.

We've written before about how unlike some of her Hamas Caucus colleagues, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) has doubled and tripled down on the claim that Israel "bombed" a Gaza hospital despite the fact that all available evidence including photos and video shows that what likely happened was the Palestinian Islamic Jihad misfired a rocket and it exploded in a nearby parking lot.
Not only is the tweet she posted on October 17 (shown below) uncritically accepting the allegation against Israel still up but during a speech she gave Wednesday during a Jews for Hamas rally just steps away from the Capitol complex, she continued to push the claim, stating without evidence that "people think it's okay to bomb a hospital where children [were]."
Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that.

Then I had an offering letting people know I never want her to be silenced because of the aforementioned reason that she is a gift that keeps on giving verbally.
Let Rashida Tlaib Speak All She Wants With No Censure or Expulsion
Tlaib is well-known for her comments that, one could argue, are a bit over the edge, as I mentioned in this article regarding Scranton Joe's speech to the country on Thursday night, where he made a pitch for more money to Ukraine and Israel.

If you don't recall, just days ago the happy-go-lucky congressperson from Michigan said this about the President of the United States, someone who is a member of her own party to boot.

While that was happening, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) launched into an unhinged rant outside of the building in which she again blamed Israel for the supposed bombing of a hospital in Gaza on Tuesday. Evidence, including video and intelligence intercepts, has since proven that a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket fell short and struck the hospital's parking lot. Despite claims of 500 dead, it is now believed that a few dozen people perished in the resulting fire.
Tlaib went radio-silent after spreading the Jewish blood libel and ignored questions from reporters the next morning.
Does Tlaib say repulsive and ignorant things?
She sure does.
Should she banned or censured for saying them?
Congress can go ahead and censure someone, but what does it do? Nothing.
I think it is fair to say we love her here. She is like a writing party favor that never stops being fun to use and I can't emphasize this enough. I wish the Republicans would be running ads of what she says 24/7-365.
Why can't that do that?
Well, lo and behold, others know about the Congressperson from Detroit, including a crackerjack reporter by the name of Charlie LeDuff.
You may have heard the name Charlie LeDuff before and if you're a long-time reader of RedState you might have come across a story or two that I have written about him.
He was one of the few people during COVID-19 who dug into Governor Whitmer's use of emergency powers and how she copied Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York in shoving COVID-19-positive people into rehab and nursing homes.

That story still turns my stomach but LeDuff was the one that dug through the muck and sorted it out and he VOTED FOR HER in 2018. So he is truly the real deal in terms of a reporter who's just going to let the story take them where it actually goes instead of trying to shade the facts to fit his personal belief.
So imagine my lack of surprise when I came across a tweet from LeDuff and his No B.S. Newshour show clip that featured our beloved Rashida.

LeDuff first criticizes her lack of understanding that she lives in a VERY MULTI-CULTURAL area in Metro Detroit and she should take a moment to recognize this.
A missile, a shell, something falls on a Baptist Hospital in Gaza and immediately Hamas puts out that it is an Israeli shell. It's starting to maybe look like maybe it could be a Hamas shell that went bad because there is no crater there...just looks like the accelerant lit on fire and burned everything up.
LeDuff then continues on playing a video of Tlaib going on at a rally and marvels at how she can turn on the tears while getting a crowd revved up on this sensitive matter.
I've often thought of her as a semi-Academy Award-winning actress, to be truthful,
LeDuff continued later on in the video and lobbed some interesting accusations.
All I know about Rashida —I've known her since I got here in 2008 — all I can say is: I know you're an opportunist; I know you cheated on your property taxes three times; you didn't pay back the city of Detroit; and your own father called me to call you a scam. That's what I know. So start leading. You did nothing in this town. Those demolition holes are full of poison. You didn't do anything, right? That's environmental racism perpetrated by Democrats.
WHEW.
I told you he is old school.
I have followed LeDuff since around 2009, and he will frustrate you on things that seem so simple to understand politically. But I will say this: He is like a pitbull with a brand new steak bone when he is on a story and that is the type of person you want roaming the Fourth Estate of journalism and not the mamsy pansy reporters we have today.
