If there is one thing you can say about President Joe Biden, he has not disappointed those of us who knew about his time in the United States Senate and as Vice President. He has met and actually exceeded the expectations any of us had for him.

He has been a bigger disaster than we could have ever imagined and most of us thought it was gonna be pretty bad. As you can see from some of the content produced here at RedState it is pretty clear why Joe has not only met our low opinion of him but really crushed it.

Every President has a couple of bad days or weeks, maybe even a month. Biden has smashed all records by having the worst 14 months, 62 weeks, or 435 days of any President that ever was President.

Talk about blowing away any and all expectations.

One of the things that Biden screwed up from day one has been the border we share with Mexico and it seems that the D.H.S. director from the Obama-Biden administration is willing to say that part out loud.

Jeh Johnson, who served as Homeland Security secretary under former President Barack Obama, told MSNBC on Wednesday the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, kicked started by the Biden administration, is “unsustainable” because of the large number of illegal border crossings.

The Department of Homeland Security said on Tuesday they are preparing to encounter up to 18,000 illegal immigrants a day during the busy spring and summer seasons, especially once Title 42 is removed. Title 42 has been used since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to prevent the virus from being spread while in Border Patrol holding facilities but it may end soon as COVID restrictions have eased.

“The border is a tough issue. I am waiting to see when and if they drop Title 42 for the southern border. It is the, frankly, a way to keep the numbers down, although these numbers are pretty high,” said Johnson.

“Typically, the largest months are March and April…We are about to hit one million in six months. My highest year was 68,000 the entire year, and that politically felt like the world was coming to an end. These are very, very large numbers. They are unsustainable in my view,” he continued. “You make a good point, that if Title 42 is lifted then the public health debate may move to the southern border.”

As the former director mentions, Title 42 is used to try to stem the flow of illegals coming across the border. The rumor around the campfire for the past week is that the Biden administration is going to be dropping Title 42 which will only increase the draw of the magnet for people to come across the border. So why drop this rule when you already have historic numbers?

Simply because Joe Biden and his administration are wholeheartedly incompetent.

That the Biden Administration is about to hit close to one million people streaming across the southern Border in just six months is astounding. Putting that number in context with what Director Johnson mentions — that in his time in the Obama-Biden administration, the most they had in a year was 68,000 — and it is not far-fetched to say that this is an invasion.

Now I’m not some heartless, without an ounce of compassion, soulless libertarian who thinks that the United States of America should stop being the Beacon of Hope for the world. I don’t blame one single soul for wanting to come to this country. Even with the mess that we are currently in that is being exacerbated by the Biden-Harris team, this is still the best place on the planet for anyone to try to strive and use their God-given talents to achieve their dreams. I believe this with every fiber of my being and will most likely believe it until the day I draw my last breath.

But for the love of God, you do not set up a policy based on Orange Man Bad and reversing what your predecessor left you to try to impress the progressive caucus in the Democratic Party. You would think that someone who spent as much time in Washington D.C. as Joe Biden has would know to take a hard look at what works and what doesn’t and go from there. Yet in the first week of the Biden Administration, he removed the Remain in Mexico policy that the Trump administration had fought hard to implement — which was working.

Now, the mess that we have at the border is 100 percent on Joe Biden.

Thankfully, we have Democrats like Secretary Johnson who are at least willing to admit that the policy change has been a failure and that it falls squarely on the current President’s shoulders. If there is a silver lining in any of this, and it’s a very small silver lining if at all, that is it.

I never thought I would live to see a presidency this badly done but, then again, I 100 percent admit I underestimated Joe Biden and his incompetency.
