Bernie Sanders Says He Is Back, But His Campaign Is STILL Toast. Sorry A.O.C.

Bernie is BACK, home resting after that campaign event took a bit of wind out of his sails.

I wrote here last week after the BIG ENDORSEMENT was announced of A.O.C and the squad of Bernie, that his campaign was over. Even With AOC And The Squad Endorsing Bernie, His Campaign Is Over.

That is still true after yesterday’s massive rally he held declaring HE WAS BACK.

According to CNBC the event was a success on a few levels.

Storming past questions about his health, Bernie Sanders vowed that he’s “more ready than ever” to fight for a political revolution — with a little help from new friends — at a rally Saturday that drew thousands to a New York City park. The rally offered a pointed reminder to skeptics in both political parties that the 78-year-old democratic socialist is still very much a force in the 2020 presidential race.

Sanders opened his remarks by apologizing that he secured a permit for only 20,000 people. His campaign, he said, was forced to close the gates on many more people who were trying to enter the Queens park just across the river from Manhattan.

“To put it bluntly, I am back,” Sanders declared, sparking chants of, “Bernie is back” from the massive crowd.

“I am happy to report to you that I am more than ready — more ready than ever — to carry on with you on the epic struggle that we face today,” he added. “I am more than ready to assume the office of president of the United States.”

The facility was only supposed to hold 20,000 people but an estimated 25,000 people showed up to hear Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez speak warmly about Bernie. Something went possibly wrong though being she did not feel the Bernnnnnn enough to publicly endorse him in her speech.

The issue is still this.

There are 106 days until the Iowa caucuses and you have a 78-year-old man that just had a major operation on the organ that keeps him alive. A guy half his age would be slowed down or stopped by this. There is no shame in admitting that, in fact, it is a function of life after surgery.

Sanders does not have any events scheduled until later this week and then one the following week. They do not have the events listed yet on his campaign site, which I’m sure will be updated but they are wisely keeping this secret being the staff knows what most neutral observers realize. There is not enough time for the 78-year-old firebrand to recover from this type of surgery.

One of his campaign talking points was uttered given in the article above…

Nina Turner, one of Sanders’ national co-chairs, said it “boggles my mind” that Sanders’ critics have embraced “ageism.”

“Life happens to us all,” she said.

What actually is boggling is watching a 78-year-old recovering from his heart attack continue the folly of this campaign.

I fully understand what a crap break this is. Sanders was absolutely robbed by Clinton and DNC in 2016 and now right in the middle of a battle that was slowly turning against him, this happened. All the firepower of the Squad cheer group getting behind him will not be able to change the fact that he should be slowly recuperating at home to get back to 50% of his normal routing from 2017. Throwing in the crazy hectic nonsense of a Presidential campaign in 2019 and this will drain Bernie’s energy faster than he plans to drain a billionaires bank account.

The other democrat’s campaign knives have already come out and are whispering about how long can this go on. Even if he still is in the top 3 for the 4th qtr for fundraising, the campaign calendar is not going to be kind to Bernie.

I truly hope he goes home and gets a lot of rest and gear up for next summer when either Biden or Warren will accept the nomination.

Unfortunately for Bernie and his supporters, it won’t be him.

His campaign is toast.
