Some days you just have to shake your head.

A federal judge in the SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK has blocked the Trump administration from asking on the 2020 census if the people taking the survey are U.S. citizens.

A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census, a win for critics who say the question is unnecessary and would cause fewer immigrants and minorities to respond to the decennial survey.

The Trump administration is expected to swiftly appeal the Tuesday ruling from U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman of the Southern District of New York.

In his opinion, Furman wrote the way the Trump administration added the question violated a federal statute, the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). The law, Furman wrote, requires agencies to carefully study an issue before it implements or changes a policy. The Trump administration failed to do that in adding the citizenship question and the public rationale given by Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, who oversees the Census Bureau, Furman said, was “pretextual.”

How does a federal judge in the southern district of New York stop the executive branch of the United States government from doing what it is required to do in the United States Constitution? That is baffling to me.

Also who in the hell knew about the APA ( Administrative Procedure Act ) and how does adding a question if you are a citizen violate that? That seems like the most common sense thing ever and should be at the very tippy top of the questionnaire of things to ask.

This whole situation with the border and illegals flowing into the country and people vying to protect this is getting way past infuriating. America is a country made up of many different backgrounds and cultures. We welcome immigrants who come here legally and want to excel at whatever their God-given abilities are.

This moronic stance of letting anyone come through with lil or no documentation and then coddle them is incredibly harmful. This needs to stop and it actually needed to stop 10 years ago or sooner.

Try going to Canada, sneak into the country and then apply for a drivers license or some other government mandated i.d. or program. See how quick they bounce your bottom to the others side of the Detroit River.

In California, they not only welcome illegals to do this but ENCOURAGE IT.

You may not like Donald Trump and his fly by the seats verbal musings or his arrogance and attitude. I fully understand all that.

Trump is 100% right on this issue and if you are not seeing that correctly you need to possibly get new glasses or contacts. We should welcome people who are coming here legally, not those that are trying to sneak in and screw the system. This is really simple.

Start doing the right thing.
