I’m Outta Here
This is a big blow.
President Donald Trump just announced that Secretary Defense James Mattis will be stepping down at the end of February.
General Jim Mattis will be retiring, with distinction, at the end of February, after having served my Administration as Secretary of Defense for the past two years. During Jim’s tenure, tremendous progress has been made, especially with respect to the purchase of new fighting….

Mattis is by far one of the most respected officials in the administration and almost universally praised on Capitol Hill. This announcement comes just a day after the President announced that the United States is pulling out of Syria. Speculation will now begin that this is a protest resignation no matter what Mattis says.
Buckle up. The 2020 campaign just had some fuel dumped on it for lots of media fire.
