With all the oxygen being sucked out of the country with the Kavanaugh story, Keith Ellison has been quietly trying to become the top law enforcement official in Minnesota and there is CREDIBLE evidence of him abusing women.

Finally, a Democrat nationally noticed.

On Monday Slate Magazine ran an article entitled “Keith Ellison Accuser Continues to Call for Examination of Abuse Allegations.” In it, someone who has made some headlines recently called for an investigation of the abuse claims against a fellow Democrat.

Sen. Mazie Hirono D- Hawaii.

Now I know that she is being criticized for some of the oddball stuff she is saying about being guilty before proven innocent if you are a guy being accused of harassment but she is right here. Why aren’t more people on the Dems side calling for an investigation into this?

On Sunday, Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, called for an investigation into allegations of abuse against U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, who is running for attorney general in the state.

Hirono’s comments came as she criticized Brett Kavanaugh over an allegation that he assaulted Christine Blasey Ford in high school. Many conservatives have protested that Ellison has not faced similar scrutiny.

On Friday, Ellison sparked further speculation when he said in a televised debate that he would not rule out the possibility of more women coming forward with what he said would be made-up accusations. “Look, you know, in this political environment, you know, I don’t know what somebody might cook up,” he said. “But I could tell you that there is absolutely nobody that I am aware of … who is threatening or suggesting or who has ever made a prior accusation about me.”

He doesn’t know what someone might cook up? Ah.

I wrote about this last week here at Red State Democrat Keith Ellison Is Everything Dems Accuse Kavanaugh Of Being and mentioned that the part where he doesn’t know if anyone is going to come forward might be a good indicator that more than the two women right now are going to come forward.

Let’s deal with what we have right now though before the dam breaks.

Two women over the past 12 years have reported incidents where Ellison has allegedly been in an altercation with them. One of them, Karen Monahan, has been speaking out recently. She had this to say on Twitter on Sunday.

@keithellison this isn't right. This is not going away and you are making it worse for you, your family and district by lying, smearing, getting others to do your dirty work, victim shaming, etc. You know I have the video and more. I am still trying to offer grace and a way out

She has video? Oh, snap.

Now she has released some text messages that after reading through them seem to indicate a relationship that has ended but not violent in any way. However, included in the Slate article is a medical report for treating injuries that she told her doctor was received at the hands of Ellison.

That right there is 100% more evidence than anything fuzzy memories of Kavanaugh accusers have.

Hopefully, the pressure continues to build among EVERYONE not just conservatives saying “what gives” and progressives that seem to not be consistent at all about sexual harassment to grill Keith Ellison. He has some explaining to do.

For now though, Sen. Mazie Hirono D- Hawaii. got one right and for that, we should be somewhat thankful.

Consistency matters.
