Explosive Video Rips Mask Off Insidious Democrat Plan to Dupe Nebraska Voters

A new undercover video obtained exclusively by our sister site Townhall is exposing the truth behind "independent" Dan Osborn's attempt to unseat Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts in this year's Nebraska Senate race. It turns out that what many thought was happening in the Nebraska race – specifically, that Democrats were gaslighting voters into thinking Osborn was truly an independent candidate and certainly not one of their own – is exactly what's happening in the Nebraska race.

Here's Kyle Olson over at Townhall.

Osborn, a unionist who Townhall Media previously reported was responsible for recruiting Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, is potentially the beneficiary of a scheme cooked up by Democrats in the state in hopes of defeating incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts in November.

In the video obtained by Townhall, a “nonpartisan” legislative candidate by the name of Caitlin Knutson is caught spilling the tea about the Senate race. She reveals that Democrats never intended to field a candidate in the race against Ricketts, but instead planned to support Osborn under the guise that he's an independent.

In the video, Knutson tells an unidentified individual that the original plan was for Democrats not to field a candidate, allowing Osborn a clear path to take on Ricketts. But then an “extremely conservative” pastor and a woman named Cindy Burbank filed to run. Burbank won the primary, but the plan is “she will step out because she doesn’t see the pathway to victory.”

Knutson continued, “Then the general election, it will be Osborn versus Ricketts so there won’t be votes pulled away by a third [candidate].”

Here's Ms. Knutson revealing all:

Knutson is captured more than once saying Dan Osborn “is a Democrat," so the fix was in for Osborn from the very beginning. Meanwhile, Democrats have been pouring money into his campaign coffers.

In addition to funds from ActBlue, Osborn also received thousands from political action committees affiliated with Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., former Democratic Party member of Congress Ron Kind, and Missouri Democrat candidate Lucas Kunce's defunct 2024 Senate campaign.

We last covered Osborn when the candidacy of Graham Platner, who was trying to unseat Republican Sen. Susan Collins in Maine, was still alive. An Osborn staffer by the name of Colleen was caught on video, which was also obtained exclusively by Townhall, bragging that Osborn was responsible for Platner's candidacy, saying, “This is not really out there publicly, but he recruited Graham Platner."

Nebraska would be a crucial pick up in the Democrat Party's quest to retake the Senate this November. "Independent" Dan Osborn would certainly caucus with Democrats and cast his votes 100 percent in line with Chuck Schumer, who aspires to regain the title of "majority leader."

Whether or not Schumer and his party will prevail in the midterms remains to be seen, but one thing's for certain: Nebraska Democrats sure do like to flap their gums to anyone who will listen.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
