Now that their access to pond scum has been restricted, the bottom feeders of the loony left have set their sights on ... a tarp.
On Tuesday, workers were seen putting up security fencing around the perimeter of the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, which had just been resealed and refilled as part of the DC beautification efforts spearheaded by President Trump ahead of America 250.

The fencing became necessary after a string of TDS-sticken fools were unable to keep their hands to themselves and started vandalizing the pool of water, determined to prove the presence of algae – which thrives in shallow, stagnant pools of water and blooms in the summer heat – was somehow a sign of failure on the president's part. A strange hobby, to be sure, and one that resulted in a few arrests.
Starved of the algae, the shallow pool that is the American left turned their attention to a tarp hanging on the exterior of The Kennedy Center (formerly known at The John F. Kennedy-Donald J. Trump Center for the Performing Arts). U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper issued a ruling in May that reversed the renaming, ordering that Trump's name be removed from the building. The administration complied, and crews had removed Trump's name by June 13.

Cooper's ruling was in response to a legal complaint filed by Democrat Rep. Joyce Beatty (OH-03), a Kennedy Center board member who argued that the renaming had "no basis in law." Beatty said of Cooper's ruling, "The Kennedy Center is an institution that belongs to the American people, not to Donald Trump. He has desecrated this sacred memorial for his own vanity. I am proud to have fought for the rule of law and to protect this sacred institution."
On Wednesday, Cooper followed up the name reversal by demanding that the Kennedy Center provide an explanation as to why a tarp still remained over part of the building's facade.
The order, issued Wednesday morning by U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper, directs the Kennedy Center to inform the court about the "purpose for and status of the tarp and scaffolding" that have stood outside the center since the early hours of June 13, when workers removed Trump's name from the facade to comply with a May court order.
The report is due within seven days of a planned July Kennedy Center Board of Trustees meeting or by July 31, whichever comes first, and requests information about the tarps "to the extent they remain at that time."

Former CNN anchor and aspiring livestreamer Jim Acosta filmed himself skulking outside the Kennedy Center complex, telling his viewer that President Trump must be "sulking" over the name removal. Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08), never one to pass up the chance to be obnoxious, retweeted Acosta, adding that the tarp was "a literal coverup."
Kennedy Center spokeswoman Roma Daravi has already set the record straight, saying the tarps remain up while workers do repairs on the building's marble facade. But, the Center will still need to provide Cooper with a written explanation for the tarps' presence in the coming weeks.
Having observed the Democrats and their water carriers in the public and private sectors attempt to stymy nearly every effort made by the president to beautify and aesthetically improve things in Washington, D.C. – something the federal city desperately needs after years of Democrat rule – it must be concluded that the party as a whole is against beauty itself. If Trump plants flowers, they’ll mourn the weeds; if he cleans the water, they’ll champion the pond scum; and if he repairs the marble, they’ll scream about the tarp.
Democrats: Always petty. Never pretty.
