It was one of the more unsettling stories to hit the headlines this year, and it only got worse the more that was revealed about it.
A Somali migrant by the name of Mohamed A. Mohamed was arrested back in August and charged with four counts of rape after he allegedly sexually assaulted an unconscious woman on the steps of a Nashville church; the woman, who was believed to be homeless, died soon after being taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The details of the assault are grim:
Surveillance video shows the victim by herself walking unsteadily toward the front steps of the church. She was unable to keep her balance and sat down on a step, appearing to be under the influence of some type of substance. Mohamed approached and sat down beside her. Mohamed made physical contact with the victim as she went in and out of consciousness as she tried to push him away. He ultimately lifted her off the steps, put her on the ground, and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.
It's become known as the "raped to death" case, but, as we are finding all too often these days, it could have been prevented if Mohamed had been held accountable for a series of crimes, at least 12 by some estimates, he had committed since coming to the United States. Republican Rep. Andy Ogles (TN-05) detailed the litany of prior charges against Mohamed, including driving infractions, criminal trespassing, public intoxication, and public indecency, all of which were dismissed by a series of judges aligned with the Democrat Party.
In a recent post on X, Ogles names and shames the judges who allowed Mohamed A. Mohamed to be free to walk the streets of Nashville and commit this heinous act.

Not only has this man been arrested over a dozen times, but he has had every case, from drugs to indecent exposure to criminal trespass, dismissed.
Every judge and prosecutor who let him off the hook was a DEMOCRAT. As long as local liberals are running things in Middle Tennessee, we are at war. The state should impeach all of the judges. Send the guard to Nashville.
Those judges are now claiming that they're the real victims here, and have jointly written a letter to Tennessee's Republican governor, Bill Lee, asking that state funds be allocated for their security and declaring Ogles' tweet was "violent rhetoric" that could "embolden the most extreme elements and lead to tragic consequences." They added, "We urge the State to take appropriate action to counter the dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric issued by Mr. Ogles. Tennessee must not become the site of the next preventable tragedy."
It Would Be Nice If the Democrat Elites Would Stop Undermining the Republic
Oh, the irony. No mention, of course, of their own actions leading to tragic consequences. Preventable tragedy, indeed. No apologies, either, to the family of the dead woman, as noted by Ogles in a follow-up tweet.

A woman was raped and is now dead because of woke policies, and those on the Davidson County General Sessions Court who let off a dangerous migrant criminal more than twelve times.
These judges are asking Governor Lee to give them heightened security because they feel threatened by my comments. Where were these Judges when she was being raped? Where were they when she lay dying? Do they care at all about the safety of my constituents? Doubtful.
Let's be honest here. If Tennessee doesn’t want to become “the site of the next preventable tragedy,” the solution isn’t luxe security details for our betters – it’s real and lasting consequences for those whose negligence helped make this horror possible. Accountability isn’t violence, but ignoring it obviously is.
