Noem Puts Mamdani on Blast Over His Anti-ICE Stunt

A game of chicken seems to be developing between the Trump administration and Zohran Mamdani, the mayor-elect of New York City, over illegal immigration. Despite President Trump recently playing host to Mamdani at the White House – the two played nice and seemed to get along just fine – NYC's next mayor seems to have chosen willful defiance when it comes to the administration's efforts to deport the millions of illegals who entered the United States when the Biden administration put out the welcome mat.

As RedState reported Monday, Mamdani released a video over the weekend in which he laid out the steps illegal aliens should take to evade federal law enforcement, encouraging them to "stand up to ICE" and stating, as mayor, he'll "protect the rights of every single New Yorker." U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem says comrade Mamdani is straying into dangerous territory and warns that what he's doing might violate the Constitution.

Kristi Noem Calls for New Blackout on Third World Immigration

In a Monday appearance on Fox News' Hannity, Noem commented that Mamdani might want to rethink his strategy going forward, stating, "If he were mayor, [he] could be violating the Constitution by giving advice on how to evade law enforcement and how to get away with breaking the law."

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem calls out NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, warning that his advice on evading law enforcement could violate the Constitution amid soaring attacks on ICE agents:

"The mayor, if he were mayor, could be violating the Constitution by giving advice on how to evade law enforcement and how to get away with breaking the law. It's really unbelievable in this country what we are seeing. Those ICE agents you were referencing — the violent attacks that have increased 1,200%, death threats against them are at 8,000%."

Mamdani, himself an immigrant who moved to the U.S. from Uganda, posted the video to social media on Sunday – otherwise known as Pearl Harbor Day – and gave step-by-step instructions on evading ICE and, ultimately, detainment and deportation.

"First," Mamdani says in the video, "ICE cannot enter into private spaces, like your home, school, or private area of your workplace without a judicial warrant signed by a judge. Like this: [image of a search and seizure warrant]. If ICE doesn't have a judicial warrant signed by a judge, you have the right to say, "I do not consent to entry," and the right to keep your door closed."

The mayor-elect also told illegals that "ICE is legally allowed to lie to you, but you have the right to remain silent." And if they are taken in custody, he advised them to repeatedly ask "Am I free to go?" until they get an answer.

This isn't just fun-and-games political hijinks being practiced here by Zohran Mamdani. It's also not mere wordplay designed to taunt President Trump. Instead, it's a clear effort by Mamdani to inflict real damage on the men and women tasked with carrying out the administration's immigration policies. The subtext is for illegals to do anything they can to defy ICE, confident in the knowledge Mamdani has their backs. Hey, if violence breaks out, what does he care?

Noem's message to Mamdani and his ilk is that the administration isn't going to blink on this matter, so they best toe the line or change the laws if they don't like them. "And these politicians, if they don't like the law, then go frickin' change it. Go change the law. That's your job, is to actually have debate, have discernment, to create a law that actually puts America first," she said.

"I'm just grateful the president is focused on that," Noem concluded.

Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
