'We're Coming for You': Elon Musk Promises Hammer of Justice Will Fall on Those Who Funded Tesla Attacks

Elon Musk may not have been in the room for Tuesday's Qatar Economic Forum, which was sponsored by Bloomberg News and took place in Doha, but his remote appearance certainly captured the audience's attention, particularly when the topic of violence against Tesla dealerships and owners was brought up by the interviewer.

It was a very serious and somber Musk who addressed the fire bombings, keyings, and other destructive behaviors wrought these last few months by leftists raging against all things Tesla. RedState has covered many of the disturbing incidents, which range from incendiary devices exploding in showrooms to a rock being thrown at a pregnant woman who had the nerve to be a passenger in a Tesla.

Musk has previously addressed meting out justice to those who have committed and/or funded the violence, as reported by our own Rusty Weiss:

"It is remarkable that there is so much violence," he replied. "People have burnt cars, they've fired bullets into dealerships. They have scratched swastikas into Teslas of innocent people that—that are just going about their lives."

Musk then alleged that the people firing the bullets and firebombing dealerships are just pawns in a more twisted game.

"What we actually have to get to are the people who are organizing and paying for these attacks and protests," he said. "That's who we really need to go after because the people that were actually throwing the Molotov cocktails—they are the foot soldiers, but we need to go after the generals."

But one thing was abundantly clear in Musk's remarks on Tuesday: He's taking these Tesla attacks very personally and he will exact justice against those responsible. He pondered aloud to the audience, "What's wrong with these people? I've not harmed anyone."

When asked by the interviewer if the violence had made him "think twice" about his involvement in U.S. politics, Musk took a several-second pause before responding, "I did what needed to be done." He continued, "I'm not someone who's ever committed violence, and yet massive violence was committed against my companies. Massive violence was threatened against me. Who are these people? Why would they do that?"

Musk got big cheers from the audience when he pointed his finger at the video camera and put the instigators on notice:

Those people will go to prison. And the people that funded them and organized them will also go to prison. Don't worry, we're coming for you.

At one point, the moderator tried to defend the actions of the protestors, framing it as a natural reaction from those who were upset at Musk's foray into American politics. Musk was having none of that and shot back, "Well, it's perfectly fine to object to political things. But it's not fine to resort to violence and hanging someone in effigy and death threats. That's obviously not okay. That's absurd. This is in no way justifiable ... at all."

It's clear that the last few months have taken a toll on Elon Musk, but he's not going back down from this fight. No longer content to let violent extremists hide behind the guise of “protest,” Musk is rightly putting the full weight of his influence—and likely his legal firepower—behind efforts to hold the guilty accountable. And if his track record is any indication, the agitators should take him seriously. Very seriously.
