When last we checked in on Politico "reporter" Jonathan Lemire, he was busy debasing himself by running interference for the Democrat Party in the wake of Joe Biden's "garbage" slur against supporters of Donald Trump. As RedState reported Tuesday night, Lemire tried to get out in front of the story by falsifying what Biden actually said, maintaining the president said "the only garbage" was the "hatred" of Trump supporters.
Except, we all know that's not what Biden said. Lemire knows this, too, but you can't be bothered to have even an ounce of integrity when your job relies on the Democrat Party liking you. Knowing exactly what Biden was saying, Lemire flagrantly and proudly carried water for his preferred political party because that's where we're at with today's media.
We saved a copy of Lemire's original report, just in case Politico had a moment of shame and tried to memory-hole it.

Unsurprisingly, as of Wednesday morning, Politico had not removed Lemire's hack coverage of Biden's remarks, nor had they condemned Biden for disparaging half of America in such a nasty way. God forbid they actually commit an act of journalism.

While we don't see Politico or Jonathan Lemire backing away from his willfully dishonest "reporting," we do find ourselves hearing that Lemire is being richly rewarded for being a Democrat Party apparatchik cosplaying as a journalist. Guess what? Jonathan Lemire, noted hack, is landing in the one job that is tailor-made for him: co-host of "Morning Joe."
That's right, the guy who just lied to the world about a sitting president's slanderous comments about a huge portion of the American population – and we're talking about much greater numbers than those who were possibly offended by a comedian telling a joke – gets to sit next to the Ken and Barbie of morning TV and continue to spew lies.
What a world.

Jonathan Lemire — host of "Way Too Early," at 5am ET on MSNBC — will be promoted in January to co-host of the "Morning Joe" 9am hour, the show's marquee hour for the West Coast, an NBC News source tells Axios.
Oh, and there is much hoopla and rejoicing amongst the corporate media that one of their own is seeing his rather tarnished star rise!

Yes, Lemire probably does need to get some rest after a night of continuously tying himself into a pretzel in order to make Joe Biden look less bigoted and help a limping Kamala Harris, who has also yet to decry Biden's comments, across the finish line. It has to be exhausting carrying that amount of water for the Democrats, right?
Tuesday night was an utter disaster for Democrats, and we all know it. They are left, yet again, trying to play this off as Republicans "pouncing" on hapless old Joe Biden for stumbling on his words. All of this is the Republicans' fault, don't you see? Luckily for Democrats, they have a media that is, like Jonathan Lemire, more than willing to cast aside any remaining journalistic ethics they may possess in order to help them win.
