WEIRD: Biden Judge Orders Non-Citizens Put Back on VA Voter Rolls Just As Poll Shows Kamala Tanking There

Here's a case of questionable timing for you: Just as the results of a new poll were released showing Kamala Harris absolutely tanking in Virginia, a judge has ordered Governor Glenn Youngkin to return non-citizens to the commonwealth's voting rolls.

As RedState has been reporting, the Biden-Harris Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Youngkin two weeks ago, alleging he had illegally cleaned Virginia's voter rolls back in August, when the names of over 6,000 non-citizens were removed. The lawsuit seemed like an odd, unnecessary move by the DOJ at the time since Virginia seemed like a shoo-in for Kamala Harris. Perhaps things were a little too close for comfort?

Youngkin appeared on FOX News Sunday last weekend to explain to host Shannon Bream all about the process involved when removing the names:

"To be clear this is not a purge, this is based on a law that was signed into effect in 2006 by then-Democrat governor Tim Kaine.

It starts with the basic premise that when someone walks in to one of our DMV's and self-identifies as a non-citizen, and then they end up on the voter rolls – either purposely or by accident – that we go through...an individualized process, based on that person's self-identification as a non-citizen, to give them fourteen days to affirm they are a citizen. And if they don't, they come off the voter rolls.

And, by the way, they have one last safeguard, which is they can come and same-day register and cast a provisional ballot."

Youngkin added that the timing was suspect: "It's been in effect for eighteen years, it's been applied universally by Republican and Democrat governors, and now, all of the sudden, when Virginia is getting tight...it launches a lawsuit against the commonwealth of Virginia when we are trying to make sure citizens vote, not non-citizens."

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles, a – wait for it – Joe Biden appointee, ordered that 1,600 of those 6,000 names removed in August be put back on the voter rolls, saying the names were illegally removed too close to the election. The usual suspects are behind all of this:

Advocacy groups that sued — the Virginia Coalition for Immigrant Rights, the League of Women Voters of Virginia and others – said that data shared by the state for the case shows more than 1,600 people had their voter registrations canceled under the program during the quiet period.

Glenn Youngkin hit back hard at the "stunning" and blatantly political move:

“Let’s be clear about what just happened: only eleven days before a Presidential election, a federal judge ordered Virginia to reinstate over 1,500 individuals–who self-identified themselves as noncitizens–back onto the voter rolls,” Youngkin said in a statement. “Almost all these individuals had previously presented immigration documents confirming their noncitizen status, a fact recently verified by federal authorities.”

Youngkin added that “Virginia will immediately petition the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and, if necessary, the U.S. Supreme Court, for an emergency stay of the injunction.”

Donald Trump, himself a frequent target of the weaponized Biden-Harris DOJ, weighed in on the situation, saying the "Department of INJUSTICE" has committed an "unacceptable travesty" against the citizens of Virginia.

In a weird (but not really) twist of fate, just as the Biden judge made her ruling about putting non-citizens back on the voter rolls, a new poll from Quantus Insights showed Kamala Harris severely underperforming in Virginia. It's pretty staggering.

If these numbers are even close to accurate, Kamala Harris is going to have to finagle every vote she can get to win even the "easy" states. Those 1,600 non-citizens being put back on the voter rolls appear to be a gift to her, nicely wrapped up in a bow from Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles. Unfortunately for the Democrats, Glenn Youngkin is only too happy to stand in their way.

Much like Youngkin wasn't supposed to win in 2021, Donald Trump wasn't supposed to do well in Virginia in 2024. It's a state that the Democrats didn't think they had to worry about, but worried they are ... clearly. This is a state that neither candidate has spent time in this election cycle, but now, it looks like the state is on Donald Trump's radar. This is dire news for Kamala Harris.
