If you've been awaiting Donald Trump's thoughts on the viral photo of Kamala Harris (not) listening to a FEMA briefing on Hurricane Helene, your wait is over. Hint: He thinks Kamala "has no clue what she's doing."
Here's the photo of Kamala:
I was just briefed by @FEMA_Deanne Criswell on the latest developments about the ongoing impacts of Hurricane Helene. We also discussed our Administration's continued actions to support emergency response and recovery.

I also spoke with @NC_Governor Cooper about the ongoing… pic.twitter.com/nlZPB0h3mO
And here's Trump's take:
Another FAKE and STAGED photo from someone who has no clue what she is doing. You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work! Biden and Harris abandoned Americans in Afghanistan. They sacrificed Americans to an Open Border, and now, they have left Americans to drown in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere in the South. Under this Administration, Americans always come last, because we have “leaders” who have no idea how to lead!
It's a beaut:

It was a swing and a miss for Kamala's campaign, which clearly posted the picture and accompanying tweet to portray her as a sober candidate who was deeply lost in thought over the catastrophe. If her lack of action on the matter wasn't proof enough that she is an unserious person and candidate, the wired earbuds she was sporting not actually being plugged into her phone definitely was.
As Trump noted in his tweet, "You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work!" That's pretty much a metaphor for her entire campaign, and her seeming indifference to the plight of the hurricane victims shows she is most definitely not plugged into what's happening in the country. Or the fact that she, as sitting vice president, could actually do something about it.
For his part, Trump toured hurricane-ravaged parts of Georgia on Monday, bringing with him supplies and promises not to abandon the victims who seem all but forgotten by the Biden-Harris administration. He's even coordinating with Elon Musk to bring Starlink into the communities that have lost communications with the outside world.
You don't have to be a campaign whiz to recognize that Kamala's weak, delayed reaction to the post-Hurricane Helene destruction has opened her up to Trump's taunting that she pretends to be a leader, but has "no idea how to lead!" It's messaging that brings vast receipts with it and will likely resonate with swing voters who now see Kamala for the empty suit she is — or "Slowbama" as some call her.
Election day is six weeks away, and Kamala Harris seems determined to live up to her reputation as weak and unserious. We know of one person who's enjoying watching the whole thing play out: Donald Trump.
