Rashida Tlaib Is Part of a Secret Social Media Group That Praises Hamas, Mocks Israeli Hostages

In what will come as a shock to absolutely no one who has been paying attention, Rashida Tlaib has been revealed to be a longtime member of a radically pro-Hamas Facebook group that has been busy praising Hamas and mocking Israeli hostages. The group is called "Palestinian American Congress," and is set to private, meaning it can't be found using Facebook's internal search engine.

The group has been very active since October 7, working overtime to praise the Hamas terrorists that stormed into Israel, massacred families, raped young women, tortured babies and kidnapped grandmothers. One recent post praised "the achievements of the resistance" and glorified the deaths of Israeli soldiers.

Another post shows the image of an Israeli grandmother in a wheelchair, hovered over by a mask-clad terrorist, accompanied by the caption: "We don't want to throw you in the sea...we want you to ride it back from where you came."

So, that's the kind of group in which an elected, albeit censured, member of Congress chooses to participate; Tlaib has reportedly been a member since 2017 and was particularly active during her 2018 congressional campaign. The group was started by Maher Abdel-qader, a Holocaust-denying fundraiser for Tlaib who has not been quiet about his antisemitism.

Abdel-qader once released a video that called Jews "satanic," claimed that they aren’t actually Jewish, have no historical claim to the land they occupy, control the media, and, oh, the Holocaust never happened. He posted the video in the Palestinian American Congress group, so Tlaib presumably is in agreement with these antisemitic sentiments and delusions.

As RedState's Susie Moore reported last week, the House voted 234-188 to censure Tlaib for unabashedly supporting antisemitic tropes. Previous efforts to censure Tlaib have failed, but her steadfast support for Hamas in the wake of October 7 -- including the release of a video where she all but chants "From the river to the sea!" -- finally pushed her colleagues over the edge.

Also, what is with leftists and their secret social media groups? It's the online equivalent of wearing a mask to a pro-Hamas rally. Why not show your face and own your antisemitism? These secret groups are hotbeds of radically anti-American sentiment -- it runs the gamut from PTA busybodies targeting concerned parents on a local level to congresswomen supporting genocide on a global level.

And, of course, there's a double standard at play here. If it were a secret anti-Hamas group, and Republicans were active participants, the calls for deplatforming would be swift and loud. Facebook would be bullied into deleting the group, issuing a groveling apology, and promptly sending a big check to the Democrat Party as punishment.

Tlaib is known for proudly displaying a "Palestinian" flag outside of her congressional office. To date, there is no evidence of her condemning the Hamas massacre or calling for the release of the Israeli hostages, which includes several Americans. She does, however, have the time to participate in a group that celebrates the deaths of Israelis and mocks innocent hostages.
