President Trump has condemned the violence in Charlottesville in remarks he made at a Veterans Administration bill signing in New Jersey. Trump had just gotten off the phone with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, and, according to the president, the two men agreed that “the hate and the division must stop.” Trump went on to encourage Americans to come together in a shared love for our nation and “true affection for each other.”
