Trump Associate Claimed to Know of WikiLeaks Email Dump in 2016 (So Why Say He Didnt Know on Friday?)

So was longtime Trump pal and informal adviser in touch with WikiLeaks before the dump of hacked DNC emails, or not?

The more he talks, the more it seems that, yeah, maybe he was.

Stone was a guest on CNN Friday night, where they discussed what he knew (or did not know) about what WikiLeaks had, how they got it, and when they were going to dump the info into the bloodstream of the 2016 election.

“I had no advanced notice of the content source or exact timing of the WikiLeaks disclosures including the allegedly hacked emails,” he said. “I never received anything whatsoever from WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, anyone associated with them, or anyone else, including allegedly hacked emails, and passed them onto Donald Trump.”

Ok. Sure. Sounds good.

I mean, if you overlook a few pesky details.

Back on October 2, 2016 Stone was a guest over at Trump Central Control… aka… InfoWars.

While wallowing in the madness, Stone claimed an intermediary met with WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, and had assured Stone that WikiLeaks would be dropping a surprise on October 5, 2016.

“Now, an intermediary met with [Assange] in London recently, who is a friend of mine and a friend of his, a believer in freedom,” Stone said at the time. CNN’s “K-File” reported on the interview Saturday.

“I am assured that the motherlode is coming Wednesday. It wouldn’t be an October surprise if I told you what it was, but I have reason to believe that it is devastating because people with political judgment who are aware of the subject matter tell me this. So right now, you see a terrible scrambling by the Clintonites to attempt to discredit Assange, to try to soften the blow.”

What ever could he have been talking about?

Stone was confident enough of what he was saying, if you take his tweet from the day before that particular interview, where he declared Hillary Clinton “done.”

The actual release date of the emails by WikiLeaks was October 7, 2016.

Stone reached out to CNN in an email on Saturday and told them he got the date wrong because his contact had “predicted” wrong.

Maybe.

Meanwhile, Stone is seeing new interest, after several reports connecting him to a Russian intelligence agent, posing as a lone hacker called Guccifer 2.0, and to Julian Assange have come to light.
