Trump Wants Us to Know He Can Handle Things; He's Smart

Yeah. That’s gonna be a “No” from me.

If you want to know how stressed President Trump is by the avalanche of really awful – even embarrassing – morsels coming from Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” then look no further than his Twitter feed. You can usually measure the level of panic and breakdown he’s going through by his flailing, ridiculous tweets.

Trump had his Fredo moment on Twitter early Saturday morning. He wants you to know, that unlike the image the book paints of his mental shortcomings, or, for that matter, some of his public utterances would lead you to believe – he’s smart. Not just smart, but, like, really smart. A genius, even.

I knew Reagan, Sir. You’re no Reagan.

Like, for real?

Sure. Five bankruptcies and a host of failed businesses sounds like success. You’ve likely lost more than you retained, and you’ve ruined a lot of smaller businesses along the way, but, MAGA, or something.

People who are stable or who are geniuses rarely have to tell anybody about it.

What you are is a braggart. A blowhard. A cheat. A self-centered, immoral bully. And eventually, it WILL catch up to you.

What should concern us all is that with all those deep character flaws, you’re the type of man Republicans wanted to lead the party.
