No. Seriously. What is the problem with liberal men and their skeezy need to sexually harass anything that moves?

The latest is Jann Wenner, founder of Rolling Stone magazine.

A freelance writer, Ben Ryan, has stepped forward and accused Wenner of some very rude, lewd behavior.

Ryan says that Wenner engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior in his Manhattan townhouse more than 10 years ago after offering Ryan the chance to write for Men’s Journal in exchange for sex, according to a BuzzFeed report.

“I had Jann Wenner’s tongue in my mouth,” Ryan said of the 2005 incident, which occurred when he was 27-years-old. “I went along for a second but then said something to the effect of ‘Oh please, I’m not that kind of girl.'”

“As I was leaving his place he offered me a multi-article contract in exchange for sex,” Ryan told TheWrap.com “His tone of voice was rather sarcastic, I will allow. Nevertheless, he did put the offer into words; and this is not the sort of thing you joke about when you are the head of a large media company. Sexual harassment is not a joking matter.”

Dude.

I mean, he’s not wrong.

What’s more, Ryan said that Wenner leveled a not-so-thinly-veiled threat, suggesting that things could get “bad” for him, if things got out.

“I think there was that moment where it’s like time stood still, and you’re imagining how this could be the answer to all my struggles. All I would have to do is this one thing,” Ryan told BuzzFeed. “But that’s not me. I would never do that.”

Well, that’s good to know.

The 71-year old Wenner isn’t denying that he made a move on Ryan.

“I met Ben twelve years ago and I attempted to have a sexual liaison with him,” said Wenner.

“He turned me down, which I respected. I had no intention of making him feel uncomfortable,” he said. “His piece was subsequently published in any case; no work was promised and no work was lost. I have never and would never make an offer of this kind.”

Why do I doubt that?

Maybe because we’ve seen too many of these stories, lately. It’s a pattern among those who hold power.

I’m not saying there aren’t some cases of character assassination and slander, where someone is targeted for ruin by the unscrupulous sort. It happens.

I’m just saying the credible cases seem to outweigh the baseless accusations.
