Seriously, nobody knows what Trump is talking about – including Trump.
He just randomly spews stuff about “fake news,” while putting out fake news.
On Saturday, god-king MAGA allowed for 9,000 lucky subjects to behold his orange hue onstage in Melbourne, Florida.
In his quest to recreate the chaotic, fevered worship services that were his campaign rallies, Trump did what is the very essence of who he is.
He lied, because his cult feel that by his breath, what was not, suddenly becomes true.
“When you look at what’s happening in Germany, when you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden — Sweden!” he said during the rally. “Who would believe this? Sweden! They took in large numbers, they’re having problems like they never thought possible.”
By now, everyone knows that he pulled that particular wad out of his orange, wrinkled tuchus, and flung it out into the crowd.
The Swedish government, however, were left scratching their heads and wondering what he was talking about and how they got involved.
Former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt also raised questions about what Trump was referring to.
“Sweden? Terror attack? What has he been smoking? Questions abound,” he tweeted.
And that’s actually a really good question.
Normal people, with normal minds do not habitually lie and do so in a manner that allows for a wide audience to bring their statements under scrutiny.
The Swedish Embassy in Washington were concerned enough, according to reports, to reach out to the State Department, to get further clarification on what incident Trump was referencing.
At least they’re giving him a chance to make good on his statement.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Catarina Axelsson told The Associated Press that the government didn’t know of any “terror-linked major incidents.”
Sweden’s security police spokesman Karl Melin also said nothing had occurred that would “cause us to raise” the terror threat level in the country.
So, basically, nothing happened.
In my community, we have a “Tall tales” festival, every year, where participants can take the stage and attempt to “out-lie” the other participants.
It’s still early, but looking at our president, I’m seeing a potential champion.
