So they don’t need our tax dollars, right?
This should be the logical conclusion to anyone keeping abreast of the elite donors to Planned Parenthood, the abortion mill masquerading as a women’s healthcare organization.
The latest deep pocketed donor to step up is Elaine Wynn, the billionaire co-founder of the Mirage Resorts and Wynn Resorts.
Wynn says she wants to “protect access to reproductive health care.”
Really, really bizarre, since the whole point of Planned Parenthood’s abortion practices stops reproduction from happening.
As has been revealed in several undercover videos, Planned Parenthood provide little to no options for women who are seeking even the most basic pregnancy care.
Wynn currently is worth $1.84 billion, according to Forbes. She gave the donation to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, the affiliate in her home area, according to the report.
She said Facebook chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, who also donated $1 million to the abortion group recently, and the pro-abortion Women’s March inspired her to make the donation.
“I’m a firm believer in the importance of women helping women, and as a longtime supporter of Planned Parenthood, I know that they’ve done so much to help women get the health care they need,” Wynn said.
Except that they haven’t. They just kill developing females in the womb.
Planned Parenthood receive about a half billion in federal funding, which is absolutely absurd, when the majority of Americans polled would rather that money not be spent there, but somewhere else.
U.S. Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and James Lankford, R-Oklahoma, recently introduced a bill, the Protect Funding for Women’s Health Care Act, that would defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups. The legislation would redirect federal dollars to the more than 13,500 community health centers nationwide that provide a broader range of healthcare services to women (e.g., mammograms) and do not perform abortions.
President Trump had pledged to defund Planned Parenthood, as long as they perform abortions, but that hasn’t happened, yet.
He did reinstate a George W. Bush-era policy – the Mexico City Policy – which prevents U.S. tax dollars from funding abortions overseas, so that was a definite step in the right direction.
Until we can stop abortion as a means of birth control in this nation, and until the culture changes to be more accepting of the value of life, we shouldn’t make it easier on abortion mills to operate with funding from a public that does not support them on a wide scale.
Let their funding come from donors, but keep them out of the taxpayers’ pockets.
