(VIDEO)Trump Surrogate, Roger Stone, Reveals That He Has Been in Touch With WikiLeaks' Assange

Roger Stone is no longer directly employed by the Trump team (as far as we know), but he remains a loyal and devoted Trumpidian toady.

He also does a lot of the behind-the-scenes dirty work for Trump. Stone, if you’ll recall, was thought to have a lot to do with the filth that was leaked to the National Enquirer, which oozed out as a hit piece against Senator Ted Cruz, concerning multiple alleged affairs.

The latest news about Stone involves Hillary Clinton and an “October surprise.”

In video unearthed by the liberal group Media Matters, Stone told the Southwest Broward Republican Organization about a potential “October surprise” that could be forthcoming to derail Clinton’s campaign.

“With regard to the October surprise, what would be your forecast on that given what Julian Assange has intimated he’s going to do?” a questioner asked Stone.

“Well, it could be any number of things,” Stone replied. “I actually have communicated with Assange. I believe the next tranche of his documents pertain to the Clinton Foundation but there’s no telling what the October surprise may be.”

When WikiLeaks released hacked documents last, it nearly upended the entire Democrat convention, as it revealed the DNC were actively working to damage Senator Bernie Sanders’ campaign, and looking to aid Clinton.

The bigger mystery centered around who was responsible for the hacked documents, and many believe there is a Russian connection.

Trump didn’t ease any fears and may have hurt his campaign by suggesting the Russians “find” Hillary Clinton’s emails. It fueled the feelings that foreign powers may be actively attempting to control the outcome of an American election.

For his part, Julian Assange has insisted that no Russian players were behind the hack, but doubts still remain.

With 90 days remaining until Election Day, the potential leak of Hillary Clinton’s emails could be employed as a rhetorical device by Trump in an effort to thwart his opponent’s continued rise in the polls.

You can call this a desperation move. Even with the last round of hacks, Trump has only managed to make himself look worse. Barring some major reveal, that indicates collusion between the Clinton camp and some entity seeking to destroy the American people, outright, or one of the myriad health issues that appear to be plaguing her, Trump is on a trajectory for sure defeat in November.
