The Democrat-media complex have been hiding the unmitigated disaster that their open borders policy has become, thanks in part to The Hologram’s immediate repeal of President Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy. The deluge of illegal immigrants across the US southern border continues unabated, with projections of 2 million illegals having entered the country this year by the end of December according to Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA).

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) was the first governor to issue an emergency declaration due to the lawlessness at the Arizona-Mexico border. He also deployed the Arizona National Guard to the border to provide additional security in support of local law enforcement efforts.

On Wednesday, after having previously declared a state of disaster in many Texas counties due to the resultant massive surge in crime, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) announced his border wall construction strategy at a press conference in Austin:

[T]he Governor signed a letter to the Texas Facilities Commission directing them to hire a program manager to oversee construction of the Texas border wall. This program manager will lead the process of planning and executing the project, and will hire the contractors and subcontractors needed to build the wall. Once hired, the program manager and contractors will identify state land and land that private landowners and local governments can volunteer for the wall.

Additionally, the Governor, Lieutenant Governor Patrick, Speaker Phelan, and Senator Nelson, and Representative Bonnen signed a letter during the press conference authorizing the transfer for $250 million as a down payment to launch the construction of the border wall and hire a program manager and contractors. Governor Abbott also noted that the state budget allocates 1.1 billion dollars towards border security — a record for the State of Texas.

The Governor also signed a letter to President Joe Biden demanding the immediate return of any land taken by the federal government to build the border wall. Once returned, Texas will talk to those property owners about the possibility of Texas using that land to build the wall.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has also jumped into the fray by declaring that “his state would be the first to respond to requests by the governors of Texas and Arizona for help in addressing the migrant crisis at the U.S. southern border with Mexico.”

That’s three Republican governors standing in the breach created by The Hologram’s “America Last” immigration policy.

A friend and USNA classmate of mine, Doc Garnett, has an even better and US Constitution-based declaration of proposed action that would defeat the political enemy at the border (and make no bones, the Democrat Party most certainly IS our political enemy!). Here is what he had to say:

Whereas the security of Texas is gravely threatened by criminal border activity and deliberate, criminal, and lethal negligence of the Federal government …

And whereas the 2^nd Amendment to the US Constitution is unambiguous that, “A well-regulated militia [is] necessary to the security of a free state, …”

And whereas the Framers intended, said Bill of Rights author George Mason, that “militia” means “the whole people” …

And whereas the Constitution of Texas tasks the Governor with being, effectively, the chief law enforcement officer of Texas;

And whereas the Texas Constitution and all of Texas’s storied history makes CLEAR that her government exists chiefly to enforce the laws of Texas so as to preserve and defend the Liberty and security of all Texans…

Gov. Abbott should (a) mobilize the Texas National Guard, who are under his exclusive, lawful authority; (b) authorize the Texas State Police and Texas Rangers to recruit and augment as necessary their forces, including the employment of qualified volunteer auxiliary deputies; (c) encourage all Sheriffs throughout the State to do likewise; (d) secure from the legislature the requisite funding/reimbursement; and (e) establish a nimble command structure to lead, manage, administer, organize, and deploy these forces as may be required to STOP the illegal invasion, drug trafficking, slave trafficking, and other smuggling into and across Texas.

Texans would rally to such a “long roll of the drums” in amazing numbers.

Properly led, they would END this assault on their state that is being aided and abetted by a lawless regime in Washington, DC.

It would not be necessary to deploy all assets to the border. Volunteers could deploy in their home counties, towns, and cities to affect a very credible “defense in depth”.

Furthermore, Arizona could do the same, as could New Mexico and California – though, admittedly, the latter two suffer poor leadership and probably would not engage.

However, the additional State forces deployed in Texas and Arizona would enable the federal US Customs and Border protection forces to shift assets from Texas and Arizona to California and New Mexico.

In addition to all of the above, Texas and Arizona could invite other States to send volunteers … as in 1836 … and as Florida Governor DeSantis is now offering. And invite other individual Americans to come to their aid, e.g., those vetted as law-abiding citizens in good standing, and who are law enforcement and/or military veterans.

Yep. My classmate is spot on. The Hologram and his minions have no idea whatsoever about the number of real Americans who are outraged at the influx of illegal aliens who are being dispersed on the public dime in the dead of night throughout the US. We have seen the results of the complete reversal of President Trump’s immigration policies and don’t like them one bit. And it’s not just conservatives and erstwhile Republicans. There are a lot of Democrats and independents who are being red-pilled by the America-Last nonsense coming out of Democrat-run Washington, DC, lately!

Keep the pressure on your governors, state legislators, and those you send to Washington, people! You are our only hope.
