Dinesh D’Souza is an Indian-born author and documentary filmmaker. He wrote one of my favorite political books, The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left, which details how the fascist ideology of the modern Left (including the Democrat Party) was lifted from the Nazis (and vice versa). You will also learn a great deal from watching his documentaries, too, as they are first-rate:

He is an unabashed pro-American conservative who loves and supports his adopted country. He was targeted during the Obama regime for his political conservatism for making an illegal political contribution of $20,000 to a friend, to which he plead guilty and was sentenced to five years’ probation, eight months in a halfway house, and a $30,000 fine. Contrast his case to that of the Obama campaign, which was fined $375,000 for $1.8 million in campaign finance violations in 2013 (five years after the violations in 2008, and of course, AFTER the 2012 election). However, no one connected with the Obama campaign was held personally responsible. Compare and contrast the two outcomes!
Fortunately, in concert with his ongoing concerns about the unfairness of the criminal justice system, as evinced by recent pardons and sentence commutations of people like Rod Blagojevich and Alice Marie Johnson, President Trump granted D’Souza a full pardon in 2018.
That’s great, and D’Souza is now back in the political fray in support of President Trump, constitutional conservatives and the US Constitution, with regular appearances on Fox News and a new book in the offing. This week, he was interviewed by Laura Ingraham and made a very interesting contrast between the Democrat septuagenarians who are vying for the Democrat presidential nomination. Here is some of the Q&A:
Ingraham: Dinesh D’Souza, author of the upcoming book, United States of Socialism. The Left seem to be in agreement that Biden didn’t build this himself. What’s going on here?
D’Souza: I think that the Democrats as a party had a choice, and if you think about it, it’s a horrible choice. It’s a choice between a clinical nut or an ideological nut. The clinical nut is Biden; the ideological nut is Sanders. And the party has basically decided, we have to go with the clinical nut. He may not be able to move except as a marionette, but he’s our marionette. We can control him. I think the problem here is, it’s not so much as a purely ideological divide per se because Biden and Sanders are not that far apart on many major issues – the Green New Deal, for example, or giving healthcare to illegals. I think the main issue is that Sanders is a little bit too much out of the closet in speaking his mind, whereas going back to Obama, the strategy that’s worked for the Democrats is “stealth socialism.” You might be a socialist, but you shouldn’t say it too loudly. Wait at least until you’re elected, and then you can start doing things … and move in camouflage. So ultimately, that was Sanders’ great sin; that’s why they’re trying to push him to the side.
Ingraham: … Chuck Schumer taking aim at Trump appointees to the Supreme Court: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch; I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” He’s like the Senate version of Maxine Waters, and the Chief Justice slapped back saying, “Threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous. All members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.” They blame Trump for heckling back at a protester during a rally, or say that [when] Trump says that a journalist or fake news that he’s endangering journalists, but what about this? That was a direct threat.
D’Souza: Honestly, that looked like a scene out of [the 1990 movie] Goodfellas. The thuggish rhetoric, the direct threats. Later Schumer tried to walk that back and said I was just threatening a political reprisal … but he was basically threatening the justices by saying “we’re gonna getcha,” so no wonder the Chief Justice took that rather unusual step of rebuking him immediately. This shows us how deranged our politics – particularly around the pro-life issue – have become. We’re talking about a very moderate law – not an undoing of Roe v. Wade, but a law that essentially protects the health of women, and if that causes Schumer to go into such a paroxysm of rage, you can just imagine the craziness that we’re in for as the court begins to shift [in a conservative direction] and landmark decisions do come into question.

- The Democrats are choosing the Clinical Nut (Biden) over the Ideological Nut (Sanders) because they can control Biden.
- The Democrats are not using the tactic of “stealth socialism” as they did during the Obama regime, which is a tactical blunder on their part.
- Schumer was acting out his mobster fantasy by attacking Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.
- D’Souza hints at the “craziness that we’re in for” as the Supreme Court – and the rest of the federal judicial system – shifts rightward, thanks to President Trump’s judicial appointments.
